Biggest Hits in College Football History

Фильм және анимация

A compilation of the biggest and hardest hits in College Football History. This includes huge blocks, body slam plays, trucks, and bone shattering tackles. Some of these big hits were legal, while others were penalized for targeting, but in all of the plays the receiver of the hit was very sore the next day. Let me know if there are any plays that you believe should be in part 2. I have well over 100 clips prepared for this series, but I only used 50 of the best ones for this video. Feel free to comment suggestions for future compilation videos. Enjoy!

Every football highlight KZreadr has to make this video at least once in their life right? And I made sure not to add any annoying music to ruin the video👍. Let me know what plays should be in part 2. I have a ton of clips already but I couldn’t fit them all in one video so there will definitely be a second video coming soon. The hits were pqrt of the game and auppose to cause the receiver to think twice about going up yo make those catches. Then i qm all for protecting whoever has the ball and penalize head to head hits but they should all be reviewed. If the tackler is lined up with the chest qnd the ball carrier initates it by lowering their helmet they whould not be a call or there should be q call on the offense. So many times the defense is doimg what they are taught and they are still flagged or kicked out hecause of this or hitting the shoulder on a legiy hit.

  • @Shane_-M

@@zachrichardson5581 then don’t watch football if you can’t watch precursors to CTE. Because it’s not only the big, nasty hits that you feel through the TV that cause CTE. Whenever a lineman blocks someone and their head makes contact, no matter how minimal, that causes CTE. Whenever a Defensive player makes a tackle and their makes contact with the ball carrier or the ground, that also causes CTE. When a ball carrier dives for the pylon and their face mask smacks off the ground, that causes CTE. All the routine bumps of Football where the helmet makes contact with something or someone cause CTE. And there is no line to draw beyond that. If the head is hit at all, no matter how minor, it’s working towards CTE and all the problems that come with it.

  • @zachrichardson5581

@@Shane_-M that's a dumb way to put it. No shit all contact to the head is unhealthy but there is a threshold for what we'd normally consider safe for prolonged life functions and thus tolerable to watch. Lineman going to battle in the trenches isn't hard to watch nor is it anywhere near the significance of an improper tackle leading with the head or getting hit full speed in the head. You're equating things simply because they all occur during the same activity but they are NOT the same health wise. So no there is a line we can draw and that's being redefined constantly. One of the major things is the targeting shit. Your argument appears to show you assume I think head injuries can be totally avoided? No of course they can't it's football. However we can limit them, that's the whole point. Get rid of the worst case scenarios at least.

I played HS football in the 90s and when I look at the older videos here it's absolutely INSANE how we used to hit people. Especially DBs used to be in a full sprint hitting a RB or WR running full speed and just lead with the top of the helmet and just spear players with our head/neck. I'm shocked more players didn't get seriously injured.

@@Hassy171717 I am one of those "pussification of football" people, but even I recognize when something needs to change. I am glad they got rid of helmet to helmet and launching. But there are a lot of things that I do disagree with them getting rid off. Blind side blocking for instance. I think it is more dangerous for the offensive player to have to run ahead of a defensive player, stop, turn around to face the player and block them after losing all momentum and get steamrolled than it is to hit someone from the side. Hits are to be expected in football. And some of the newer rules are egregious overreactions to CTE.
