I have noticed that when they see the corvids falling out of the air it attracts them because they are curious.

Hi mark! The Hull in 5 shot were hitting very hard even at the bigger distances, the 6 shot had their limits but all were better than me for sure 😂 I’ve always said if you put the lead in the right place it will come down 👍

Love it when they come to the decoys like that

Man crows act so differently overseas. In New Jersey I use e callers fully flocked decoys and more and it’s tough to kill 10 crows in a day

Thank you! We don’t eat the crows, they taste horrible, it’s purely to reduce the heavy numbers to reduce disease

I've heard about scout/sentry crows that check out an area before the other crows come. Do you just shoot every crow you can get a shot at? Or do you have to be selective about which shots you take in order to keep the crows coming and not scare them all off?

On low cut grass or short crop i go out occasionally to turn the birds belly up the other way. The tell tail sign is when birds start shying off I go out to tidy the pattern 👍

They haven’t been controlled in the area so extreme numbers very causing damage to neighbouring crop and new born lambs

The young branchers can be eaten but the older corvids are not good eating

Trapping is also a good option but shooting them is most efficient

they are rooks a bloody crime against wildlife
