BIGFOOT #9 Racing In Kansas City, MO 1990 - Jim Kramer - BIGFOOT 4x4, Inc.
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Legendary driver Jim Kramer had always run a leaf-spring truck, until 1990 when BIGFOOT #9 was completed. The truck was only a couple months old at this event. Kramer had helped with the testing of BIGFOOT #8, the other tubular chassis BIGFOOT truck at this time, but only had a few races under his belt with #9 before this event in Kansas City, MO. See how Jim and BIGFOOT #9 did against the likes of Nitemare, Bear Foot and Taurus.

Yes!!!! I love #9 from this era.
Love this Era of monster trucks, so much better than today's cartoon trucks.
Good old USA Motorsports. Bigfoot 9 was such a killer truck.

Bigfoot 9 was an awesome truck!!! Sucks that it was lost due to some customs crap. Thanks for posting and I look forward to seeing more footage.
I believe no truck could ever corner as well as 9 and no driver could corner like Kramer. It's like watching an artist at work.
You can tell Jim learned alot from the first run and applied it to the second. It's a shame something broke on Taurus, that would've been a great race.
Anybody else notice Fred jumped the flag big time. Jim still won either way.
Sheer horsepower, really gets that truck flyin on the straits!
Bigfoot is my favorite monster truck of all time! I would love to see the team go against the drivers of Feld today!
Although my hearts with the Stage 2 era trucks, Bigfoot #9 was something else! It was so lightweight and powerful it was like a bullet! And it was nimble too! Really just an all around one of a kind performer, especially for its time. No wonder the competitors wanted Bigfoot #8 and #9 banned from competition lol.
That truck with the carrero axles turned on a needle. Would love to see more footage from 90 with that truck.
Jim driving hardcore against Hess! I'm surprised the truck survived that side bump with the construction equipment & cam back to run so strong. Interesting course & another great old school racing post, thanks Bigfoot 4x4x4!
I attended this race! Way cool!
Ford Power 🤘🏻
Badass trucks with badass ford power
😮the way Jim was flying above the Cars...like...they not exist🙈
Cool footage!
That thing was like crazy fast, Kramer’s the Man!
fred red lighted so hard
By far the best looking BF ever. The way the truck moved was so wild, and it was so quick it almost looks like the playback has been sped up! Although they probably aren't, modern monsters seem much slower than BF 8/9 from this era.. Also, seeing this made me wonder did Bear Foot Racer's yellow and red striped paint come after Bigfoot Racer? For some reason I was always under the impression is was the opposite, but Bear Foot is all blue here. I guess Bear Foot copied Bigfoot every step of the way until it became a Dodge!

@@TheIcpfan23 Foot in both names with a similar name/logo. Both were blue. And Bearfoot then went from all blue to blue-yellow-red right after Bigfoot did... 🤔 Copy, maybe not. Influence, most definitely.

@@TheIcpfan23 He never did copied Bigfoot to the TEE but Fred Shafer sure did use the technology that Bob Chandler created. Bigfoot/Bear Foot are similar since Bear Foot was the second Monster truck created. I know the story about Fred naming the truck after his two pet bears but why did he put the name foot on it??? Both were solid blue until Bigfoot 8 started using the red and yellow stripes....then Bear Foot started using red and yellow stripes. Duncan Osgood is right to a certain point.
I have a man crush on Big Foot
1:30 domination 🤟🤟🤟
When he hit the tractor 😂
USA Motorsports did a lot of shows in KC.
Fact: i met him once and i asked, what is the fasted monster truck? He answered, “Bigfoot number 9.”
This was 1990 and the technology was great. This chassis... truck screws!!!
"Lost" in customs..
Having Bigfoot 8 or 9 in a field full of Stage 2 spring trucks is like using a game genie it's just unfair Team Bigfoot in the late 80s and Early 90s were playing Chess while everyone else was playing checkers
they should do this truck for the 45th anniversary of bigfoot at hot wheels monster trucks live.
You guys ever get BF9 back from Brazil?

Sadly no. If I remember correctly it something like it would cost more than the truck was worth to get out of customs over there so the Bigfoot crew basically just had to write it off and let it go. Brazil basically just stole the truck. Unforgivable if you ask me.

Due to Bigfoot running at the same Penda racese as Bear Foot, Fred Shafer and Bear Foot couldn't win a single Penda Champion ship to save his life. Not to put Fred down, he did set some fast times in racing and win a few races, but year after year on the Penda circuit he hit dry holes for a Champion Ship.

I noticed that he jumped the flaggers, but Jim spanked him anyways. I liked this era of monster trucks, everyone was innovating and Bigfoot was building new trucks every year. The Bigfoot and Bearfoot deal was good as well, both teams pushed each other and the sport. I'm glad that the Bigfoot organization has stayed strong through the years. Just look what's happened to their competitors.

@@amptrontwenty-five2352 It's been more than a few years back, like 22 years to be exact. Chandler refused to sale his trucks like Dennis Anderson and also the likes of so many others to Field Motorsports. There were disputes when it came to merchandising too. Field wanted to control all of the videos and merchandising Bigfoot had and made. At every race the Bigfoot crew would film how their trucks would handle over the race courses, this would help the drivers adjust their driving style or their trucks for better performances. BF would also use some of the footage to make movies to sale to the public. Again Field wanted to cut in on these video sales for themselves. Since Field couldn't purchase Bigfoot they said that they would build their own Bigfoot truck...which is where the truck Blue Thunder came from. Weather Bigfoot was banned or not ( I never read that) Field refuses to book any of the Bigfoot trucks even though Chandler has offered to supply them trucks for their events. When Monster Jam first started out in the late 1990's with Bigfoot and other trucks they had great racing competition, now MJ in my opinion is no more than WWE on wheels... a big "F-ing" joke. I'm glad Bigfoot doesn't run with them anymore. IMO the best racing series was the Penda Points Racing Series from 1991-97. Also Summit Racing is a sponsor that provides funding for parts to Bigfoot like Ford Racing did years ago. Summit provided sponsorship for Greg Anderson's Pro Stock Drag Racing Team as well, it is not a promoter like Field Motorsports is or the Penda Series was.

Did Andy ever drive 9 or did he go from 8 to 10?
@timt8029

I asked the same thing. He went straight from 8 to 10 but I wondered if he drove it on the rest track. By the time 10 was built, 8 and 9 were closer due to changes. Plus Jim quit driving full time so close to 10 being built.
Hahaha, Bigfoot 9 will forever live in infamy with my gaming group because during a post apocalyptic setting I made the GM flavor a Monster Truck we found in Rio in 2112 to be Bigfoot 9 as it was lost long long ago. I ended up taking it to mars to be on display.
