@@dannyphantasmo7225 you sound like the creative team lmfao. The fact of the matter is you’re wrong because the WWE universe said so, before they even decided to let him win the crowd had decided he was the face of the company at the time and that’s likely the only reason it worked out. Same thing happened with Daniel Bryan and Roman reigns the year before. The real truth here is that the face of the WWE is not who the fans want it to be, its not who earned it or who deserved it its who they think they can market the best. That’s an objective truth, and you can look at every black world champion that lost their belt in a squash match against brock Lesnar for evidence of that 😭 if Kofimania didnt prove it, try the yes movement. Try Matt Cardona/ Zack Ryder, try anyone that got over authentically

The Miz was setup with a Great gimmick tv celebrity wannabe and what was Kofi given bland Jamaican guy which tbf kofi made work I was a fan atleast. It wasn’t until the new day that bro actually got a great gimmick that could push him further up the card. Cause that’s wwe you just have to play your role and you don’t get a choice in what role that is, it’s why so many ex wwe wrestlers are more popular over at aew cause they don’t have to be confined to bland gimmicks.

@@blancobenny8242 bro nothing you typed was even accurate. No, not everything is just "what's written for them". Some wrestlers are better actors, have better deliveries, can make a gimmick work better, etc. Miz lost everything and worked his way from literally being kicked out the locker room and ppl refusing to work with him. He made the IC title more relevant than ever. Gimmicks aren't what sells the wrestlers, its their story and progress that you follow from the beginning. AEWs roster is trash and the ex WWE superstars are NOT more popular in AEW... Danielson, Punk, Christian, Edge, Hardy Bros, Big Show... the only ppl bigger id say is Moxley and Samoa Joe.

And Kofi was handed things? Miz was practically given a WWE title shot when he wasn’t even ready for the main event scene. He was given title opportunities over guys like Kofi and Mark Henry who waited for a full decade to get a title shot despite being a very talented and powerful big man. R- Truth cu his teeth in the independent circuit and the NWA becoming a major champion there and the came to WWE with a larger than life personality, a great look, and a very exciting/unique/innovative move set and he had way more range than the Miz in how he can be an entertaining face and a heel. And yet R truth was in only two main events for the WWE championship and lost both of them and never even sniffed the main event again. And he only has one mid card singles title and one tag team reign on his belt, and conveniently his tag partner was Kofi Kingston, another talented singles star that was overlooked and moved over to the tag division. There seems to be a pattern here, can only wonder what that is.

I’m sorry but miz is 100% right. He was a “reality star” and went literally from the ground to the top. He was on tough enough didn’t win but never gave up. Miz wasn’t handed anything . He was hated and bullied by wrestlers back stage (big show, Benoit, JBL) for example but never gave up and became the most hated heel in the business. Then made the IC title relevant and prestigious again and is probably still the best IC champion of all time… big E Is trying to play the race card but Kofi was never over enough to be a World champion. Kofi was actually handed more opportunities early in his career than the miz… Kofi won the US title early but never did enough to cross over to become a main event superstar. People bring up Randy burying him but miz was buried multiple times but always came back better and stronger. I don’t mean to minimize Kofi or Big E. They’re great superstars and Kofi did become a world class superstar during Kofi mania . He finally made himself over with the people/wwe universe . but the readon it took 11 years is all on kofi not backstsge politics or race. respectfully

I think it is high time we the wrestling fans and the wrestlers come to understand that it is literally impossible for everybody to be a world champion. Wrestlers should change their target from "wanting to be champion" to "creating an entertaining and exciting larger than life character". You should change your perspective from holding gold multiple times, to having an audience of people scream your name or shout your catchphrases.

@@davidclark6694 That isn’t true. Bobby became a champion in WWE because he chose to try out for WWE first. WWE was the and still is the biggest wrestling company, and practically every wrestler that you know of attempted both successfully and unsuccessfully to go to the WWE. I have no doubt in my mind if Bobby chose to wrestle for a different wrestling company before going to WWE, Bobby would most definitely be successful there and probably would have gotten a major title push there than in the WWE. Ron Simmons became world champion in WCW while not getting shit in WWE, R Truth was NWA world champion in NWA and has never been given a world title in WWE, Bad News Brown held multiple world titles in major wrestling companies in Canada, and yet didn’t get any title opportunities in WWE, Junk Yard Dog was one of the most popular wrestlers in the entire US wrestling territories, winning multiple world championships, and was one of the most over wrestlers in the WWE when he was signed and was getting reactions equal to Hogan, but he wasn’t given any title opportunities in the main event scene or anywhere else on the card. So this notion that Bobby needed WWE to win a title in a different company is cap. And there seems to be a pattern here, I wonder what that is?

Tbf, after the morrison split miz got really over. he knew how to control the crowd, had catch phrases and has always been an all around entertaining guy. He is the embodiment of what a wwe superstar is. Maybe not the physique, but that tells you enough. He was and still is dedicated. The miz is the ultimate wwe fan turned pro and he did a heck of a job. Edit: not to forget, Kofi fucked his push back in 2009 with orton and legacy. Literally one year after his debut.
