BIGCOLTV 4X4 ADVENTURES I finally get the handbrake conversion on my trooper done!!
This video see's me get the brake conversion done, so out with the old, small poor shoes, and in with a hand brake that works on the disc! its been a slow process as I tried to find a caliper that would work, I went through several including ones from a transit, a vivaro, a renault master before finding the vw transporter t5-t6 would work best... once I had the bits, it came together pretty easy...

Thanks Darren, took a bit of searching to find the right caliper, but got there in the end.... 👍
nifty fix, nicely done Col, wish it'd fit the old 80, the general fix is longer dogbones to widen the gap between the shoes, but they dont fit in with new shoes, getting the 3 linkages 'just so' is a rpita to make sure there's no slack at all

It's all pretty simple, once I'd sorted the caliper of choice, at one point I had a transit, a vivaro , and Renault master caliper all on my bench... 🙄🤣

I know what you mean... I've been fighting a dodgy handbrake far too long, something had to change, and this was it... 👍
