For everyone going wtf at the crotch lyrics its actually based on a Korean idiom. Koreans say that ur crotch will rip when you try to "run after" people who are so much more longer-legged than you are - meaning that you should know your limitations without headlessly&recklessly trying to mimic the success of others. The full idiom is "baep-bird (a tiny bird I dont know what its called in english) rips its crotch while trying to follow a crane (yup one of those rly long, thin-legged birds) I hope this clears things up for everyone.

Hmm. Just looked up the lyrics to Crow Tit by BTS for the first time. (I'm into older Kpop groups now haha) And the song is actually a perfect illustration of this concept/idiom, even though in BTS song it is used in the context of rebellious sentiments against the society. (whereas in Sober by BB, Sengri's part sounds like "society's that way, it can't be helped, don't go reaching for things that can't be yours.")

This song is genius for so many different reasons. Consider both the instrumentation and the lyrics. The instrumentation is quite joyous and happy. The song itself is in F major, an key that evokes the emotion of calm happiness and joy. We're all here just enjoying the moment is what the instrumentation tells you. However, when you read the lyrics, they are a bit off. You realize this person is just covering their pain. We can hear through the lyrics, a song of someone who is lonely and struggling. I get from the lyrics two things: 1) not being able to survive without some kind of substance (alcohol, drugs, whatever) 2) not being able to survive without the audience The second interpretation is quite sad. I imagine every artist at the level of Big Band must experience something similar to this. The high that you get from that level of human interaction......it's something very few people in the entire history of the world will experience. But then after the lights and the music and the cheers fade, what are these musicians left with? I imagine the life bands such as Big Bang lead are very difficult. This song is genius on so many levels and one of, if not my favorite, Big Bang song. Thank you, BB. Thank you for your music and your sacrifice. I hope you can find happiness and peace even after the lights fade and the cheers stop. This world is full of beauty, and you deserve to experience that beauty in both the intensity of the stage as well as the quiet of the mundane. Best wishes!

It's from a Korean idiom about a small bird trying to walk like a crane. It's about trying to mimic other people's success (which doesn't work). There's another comment about it here somewhere that explains it better.

This is exactly what I wanted. The lyrics are sad and deep but the song is upbeat. It’s perfect really. As someone who battles with severe depression and finds peace in substances that are rather bad for me and my health this song is just everything.

Still best bigbang song without a doubt. Such a deep meaning in the lyrics with an awesome beat and rhythm. This was the first bigbang song I listened to and loved (bang bang bang was first) and it’ll always have a special place in my heart 💜

You can literally go to a random Big Bang song and Seungri’s verse will fit perfectly with what happened.
