Great video and hard work, these guys deserve the money they receive as the cost of operations up there would be high. I'm an aquaculture consultant living in SE Asia, I've assisted many operations with mud crab farming and its really picking up pace. Some farmers now getting 35 US from the farm gate. Lucrative industry.

G’day Sebastian thank you for your input & yes the guys def work hard they sure are one of a kind. It’s def a chosen life style job that wouldn’t suit to many. I’d def be interested in learning more about SE Asia crabbing and maybe in the future I could do a trip over that way.. Thank you much appreciated..🦀🦀👍

G'day Andy, Great to see crabbing from the pro's perspective. No matter the weather the job has to get done. Waves with white caps certainly making it for challenging conditions to retrieve pots. A red or orange float might make it easier to see in a churning sea. I also found a bit of wave action on the top fishes better then glassed out conditions. It just takes more time to manoeuvre the boat. Time is money in their industry. I have never had a barra in a pot but plenty of estaury or black spot cod. Expenses have to come out before the bottom line but satisfying to know you put your hard earned into it. The Major BB🎩👌👍🦀🦀🦀🦀🤙

Luke seems to do it the hard way. Firstly why not have a crate to limit the crabs damaging each other. Secondly why take 44 litre drums for fuel when plastic drums are less weight. Yes he is 25 Andy and now he will develop a frontal lobe!🤣👍 Great content mate.👍

Great video Carney, excellent catch and they certainly work for it and as you say, rain hail or shine. Interested to know how many months of the year they put the pots in, I’m guessing there would be months when they have soft shell and then there’s the cyclone season as well Cheers Andy and keep them coming, always good to see what you’re putting up next
