Big Welsh Pike in Trawsfynydd - Fishing Britain episode 11

Спорт

Fancy a 40lb pike? In this week's show we travel to North Wales to fish Trawsfynydd Lake in the dramatic Snowdonia National Park where we are hunting out the nuclear mutant ninja monster pike that live there. Hywel Morgan teams up with predator specialist Ant Glascoe Jr.
Ever wondered what's in that deep, dark pond? Charlie Jacoby finds out by draining one of them. He is in Somerset helping a coarse fishery, Higher Farm Lakes, with a problem pond that has sprung a leak. So they empty it with a digger... and there are some big carp in there.
We also have the Fishing Britain News - headlines this week - salmon hatchery closures - Man fends off shark - 16-year-old designs 'zig' box - Marlin sparks oil crisis - diver rescues dolphin.

Great vid guys.. Might pay this place a visit if possible! But the reel being marketed like that is a shame really! Great concept.. But this reel failed miserably as per the reviews it received from all major US retailers.. Nearly bought it just from watching this vid!

Enjoyed the pike fishing. I imagine it is probably best to not eat the fish you catch in a nuclear power cooling pond.

Abundant clean energy, the fact the hydro plant isn't running is disgusting and was slap in the face to the valley that was submerged specifically for its use. I'd much rather see that building redesigned and make use of our very wet climate than every time you're at the beach in north Wales all you see is them eye sores that are endless wind turbins. It's easy to make a building blend in with its surroundings that's not the case with hundreds of wind turbines and if it's not windy them wind turbines will lead to energy shortages. We've been made idiots out of with these wind turbines and what they're making our environment look like, Germany scrapped them for good reason and then they made the necessary backhand deals and just like that the UK is buying up all of their wind turbines and making the once amazing horizons for second to none sunsets look awful. Do lakes look awful or do they look amazing, I know I'd rather see one or two lakes than a few hundred wind turbines on the horizon and slowly plastering the land. If people think hydro power is a joke just look at the countless homesteads that utilise it, people who care about our environment really need to adequately investigate why we shouldn't and don't need to utilise wind energy. I enjoyed the video by seeing the waste of millions of pounds and it being replaced by something that is an absolute mess probably wasn't the best way to start the video.
