I know it's already been said, but Kai Lenny... He's from another planet. The difference between his comfort level and balance on really big waves compared to anyone else (e.g. the guy @14:40) is remarkable.

People who haven't surfed can't imagine what those wipeouts feel like. I can't even imagine faceplanting on a wave that size. 10 ft waves will hold you down for 20 - 30 seconds. How long are u stuck under after one of these?

Remember how it was only a few short years ago when leading big-wave surfers almost universally agreed that Jaws couldn't really be paddled? It was too big, moved too fast. And yet here we are. Quite amazing naivety from the leaders in their field.

Remember how it was only a few short years ago when leading big-wave surfers didn't have amazing float wetsuits, inflatable PFD's, and the ski drivers had a quarter of the skills/techniques they have developed since then.
