Growing up in the 100’s and going to Washington in the late 90’s/early 2000’s....was CRAZY!!! I didn’t realize I was living in a war zone until I left Cali for college. It took me years being out of LA before I stopped watching my back every few secs, watching the colors I wear, stopped worrying about going to house parties/clubs, stopped worrying about getting gas unless I was on Western & Imperial (out of bounds for MANY), stopped worrying about where a chick lived before I go to kick it, I stopped thinking “Relative, Family, Dawg, and Groovin,” weren’t bad words lol..I could tell someone their hair was “Nappy” without it being a issue, and so may other simple things I never knew was Ok til I left LA as an adult...simply because my hood had strict rules you had to follow if you wanted to Survive Washington HS and the Rollin 100’s

Kev Mac Say Kev, do you know OG Rome and OG Gangsta from Venice Sho-Line? I was in Centinela with both em. They both had life but I think Rome might be out now due to Prop 36. Anyway, I wish you could find Rome and interview him. That brotha had some cold stories about bacc in the days. I remember he even told us a story about how one of his homeboys started the Undergrounds, I believe

Hey, you have a proper KZread channel, the fact you speak to the first two generations of OG's is cool though I don't bang family members and friends of my did; however, I enjoy reminiscing as I hear them speak of their past in which some cases it was rough and tough, in addition I got to witness the mayhem myself in the 80's, particularly between 85-91. Just a suggeston, for the near future put on your roster list to interview OG members of 74 Hoover Criminal gang. Peace out stay true to the hood!!!
