I like how he said he drilled him twice, I believe the buck heard his bow release (pretty loud) the first time and missed you can hear that arrow hit rocks, second time you hear the the arrow hit the animal. Good kill, buddy. Can't fool this NM guide.

I think he shot him again off camera. The hit shown looked fairly far back.

BEAUTIFUL BUCKS AH THE GREAT OUTDOORS
I lived in Vegas from 2003-2014. I hunted all over the backcountry. It is tough. I had snow in October. Minus 20 degrees in November in Elko and 105 in September near Pioche. Definitely be ready. Let others talk fo sho
Thanks for a good show thank you. Just a couple notes on your ice chest drain, leaving that open is right on, a 50/50 mix of ice and Water is 32 degrees, the ice is at 20 degrees Or below. You can see why draining the water Makes sense. Thank you.
Inspiring to say the least. First year of Huntin and have a tag for this zone. Have backpacked in the area before. I know it won’t be easy. Looking forward to the challenge. Thanks for sharing and helping the mental preparation for my endeavor 🙏🏻

Congrats sweet hunt. Was wondering do you keep ice in the cooler before the hunt or drive into town and get it? Wondering how long it will last before you end up using it.
Love the cinematography. Kudos to the cameramen/editors/producers. Looks like you had some awesome filming conditions throughout (cloudy, overcast ) sometimes it’s so hard to deal with the unrelenting sun In the early season. Great job!

Thanks for your feedback! Glad you enjoyed this hunt 👍
Great video. Enjoy your podcast too. What’s with the blue tape on the tripod? 👍🏻 from AZ.
It was very difficult to see the arrows hit. Clearly, they did the job.
lol the salt will have the opposite effect; it will make it melt faster. Salt water freezes at lower temperatures than DI water, but adding salt to already frozen water of a given temperature will not make it colder, nor will it make it stay frozen longer. Since it freezes at a lower temperature, it also melts at a lower temperature. Thus, it could be below “normal” freezing temps, but no longer frozen if salted.
In the cooler is the meat just in came bags or plastic bags?
no need for ice or cooler......skin, game bag on, hang in the shade with a stiff breeze, meet will be cold to the touch in a couple hours......I never get wild game meat wet.
I was up in Nevada this week. Almost shot a solid 175". He won this round though.
How do you preserve the velvet in hot temps??
I shot like the same size buck
That bow is as loud as a damn gun, sheesh 🙄
I have seen some monster muleys in x9c x9A x9B.. looke like Horses with muledeer racks..my son got his first buck a few days ago. Forky.🎉.. they made all the zones around my city Premium zones..
Awesome hunt video from Brian and his buddies Dan and Dillon. Congratulations Brian on a great heavy sucker as you called him. I have heard the hunt story and how you broke your own rule and got this buck. I am glad to finally get to watch it play out. 😎🏹🦌🏜️
