Cracking set up and awesome motor guys, I have a 15hp 2/ one of the best motors Ive ever owned. Just leave it simple but make sure you have all your safety gear, Maybe look at selling that sounder if its not a combo, and buying a small GPS sounder combo. Or you mite be able to use phone as GPS, or buying a small separate GPS. As having a GPS really helps you to know were you are for fishing and squiding, Oh make sure you run the motor out of fuel so it does not stink out the van. Or make a braket and fit to the back of the van maybe.

Legend mate! Great tips, have looked into upgrading the sounder to a gps model, as good as navionics is on the phone o think I’d rather an all in one setup! Would love to get the engine on the back of the van!

Great setup! I was always confused about the roof limit. The Prado owners' manual says the roof load limit is 80kg. Maybe some roof rack has it's own rating, like the toyota genuine 3 bar system is rated for 100kg. But 80kg is the limit including roof racks. That's the manufacture recommendation. I also run FJ cruiser wheels myself. One issue I heard with that is the wheels are not rated and insurance company would assume they are rated for the GVM of a FJ cruiser.
