The only thing is that when you take it off the Bobby pins usually fall off (especially if you have wide hips/a curvy figure). I’ve tried this and in my experience it’s not that secure, unfortunately. It may be different with certain fabrics but when I tried this both ways it didn’t really work.

It works for a minute untill you start to move your body lol, dont recommend

Yall need to learn to hand sew. A few stitches would solve this, permanently, and look way better.

i used to do it in middle school with my uniform, the bobby pin slides out all the time and you have to put it in place every five minutes lol

Why do people act like this shit has never been thought of. We once had no internet and this shit was just normal day to day problem solving.

I did this all the time with my skirts, it does work, it might pop out some times but it’s easy to put back in and it does mostly stay.

Use the black paper plastic top paper pins!! Holds all day! Used to do it with my school uniform all the time!

I usually do this using a safety pin until I can get the skirt adjusted. Works with pants too sometimes. :D

It would be good if that stayed in place whilst you sit down. It never stays when I sit. But I can sew and alter clothes so I opt for that option.

Right, this “hack” almost never works because he fabric slides through the poppy pins and the waist will become loose again. That, and the fact that the folded fabric ruins the look of the garment and makes the wearer look less put-together. If it works for you though, that’s great! For me I’ll pass

Just get a cheap sewing machine and learn to sew a simple stitch. It’s so empowering to be able to alter and mend your clothing. A simple dart would solve this problem faster and better.
