Today I am working on a 12 x 24'' (30 x 60cm) canvas
Pillow/Base:
British Paints Interior Low Sheen house paint in White, nothing added.
Colours:
#tlp Zeus
TLP Agapanthus
TLP Pinwheel
TLP pigments, silicone stir sticks and silicone pour mats can be purchased from fluid-art.co/
Pebeo Iridescent Green Blue
Matisse Southern Ocean Blue
Jo Sonja Brilliant Magenta
My pigments and tube paints are mixed with untinted (neutral) gloss house paint (water based) and Jo Sonja gloss varnish.

• (92) How I Mix My Pain...
Cell Activator (CA):
Amsterdam Titanium White and Atelier Titanium White (equal parts of each).
This was mixed with Australian Floetrol, no silicone was added or any other oils.
I never measure ratios, I mix until it leaves a slight trace when drizzled from around an inch above the surface. If I had to take a guess on the ratio it would be 2:1 or 2.5:1 (Floetrol to paint).
My hairdryer was bought from Kogan and the brand is Estelle. I use cool, low fan.
I embellished the centre with a cheap round stencil from a variety store, this had small circle cut outs. I used TLP Ore mixed with gloss gel medium and applied with a palette knife. The outcome wasn't amazing! I allowed to dry then used a copper acrylic pen from Artistro and a Artistro white pen to further embellish the centre on top of the dried gloss gel circles.

My lazy susan is glass and 20'' which was purchased from Coles supermarket, they can also be sourced from variety/dollar stores and on Amazon. The heavier the spinner, the easier it will spin, I'd also suggest you get the largest one you can so you can easily use it for larger substrates too.
My metal spatulas are artist palette knives, they can be purchased from fluid-art.co/ or independent art stores.

Wow Niki, that's an awesome deconstruction. It is so stricking and dramatic. My favorite part are the blues, pinks and (zeus i think) colors that look like a little tiny tide pool on the lower right, beside the big lacy burst. It creates mystery. Then there is that orangy zeus arc with a sliver of green that reminds me of splashing orange red hot lava. Now that certaintly adds drama. The composition is so balance and exciting. Oh, let's not forget the crazy sheen when you tilt the painting to the light which creates another dimension. This is a fantastic painting.

Wow! This is stunning Niki, loving the long petal on the left and the colours together are amazing. I use the little orange blower and can’t use a hairdryer to save my life. I think a hairdryer would be a lot better on the bigger pieces if only I could master 1 of the 5 I have 😂

Beautiful work Niki - your paintings stand out among all of the acrylic artists online. For the white paint that you put in the puddle after all of the colors - Cell Activator (CA): Amsterdam Titanium White and Atelier Titanium White (equal parts of each) - is that special paint? Or can I use white paint with a cell activator? I just don't want to mess it up after spending $$$ on nice paint.

Thank you very much Gretchen 😀💖 You could try any good quality acrylic paint, it's the Australian Floetrol that is the magic ingredient! A lot of people use Amsterdam with Floetrol, I prefer Atelier Interactive (exact name on tube). However, I swap and change and for a while tried this 1:1 mix. I like to experiment!
Stunning painting. Was the alcohol the rubbing alcohol. That’s all I can get. It’s got an oil in it. ???

Thank you Margaret 😃💖 Yes rybbing alcohol but no it does not cibtain any oil. I'm not using it again, it caused the paint to bleed into my white see my 'Sway' video where I point it out at the end
Nikki I think you mentioned in one of your videos that you didn’t resin your pieces. I’m ready to give up on finishing my pieces in resin. What d you use,if I may ask?

Yes, I have never tried it as don't have a safe area to do it. I love Rustoleum 2X spray in either gloss or satin, it's non-yellowing and uv resistant too

Thank you 😃💖 I have all the details in the video description box, I bought mine from Coles supermarket. It's a glass 20" lazy susan and I have a round 24" wood board on top of it. If you search for tempered glass lazy susan you should find one, get the largest you can.

It was me embellishing over several days, we all can put our own stamp on our art. I have many embellishing videos, this was done in the same way
