This whole rally was as a result of optimism that the Fed is done with hiking interest rates, btc eft and approvals. The question now is, where do we go from here? Are we seeing a cycle of long term gains until Q2 2024? let’s say I decide to throw In $50k? Good or bad timing?

The complacency by the older generations over the US debt is infuriating. 4:30 Of course they don’t care, they’re not the ones who will be wiped out by inflation and the inevitability of social security/healthcare programs being cut. 2/3 major ratings agencies have downgraded the US due to declining fiscal stability. Once Moody’s downgrades the US that’s makes it even harder to finance our debt, which has clearly been moving from linear to exponential growth in the past 5 years. We can only run a deficit for so long, we’ll eventually become too volatile and unattractive as a global investment and lose reserve currency. There’s no escaping the deleveraging event at the end of the long term debt cycle, and it looks like it’s going to happen in the next 50 years.

For all you people out there that don’t know how it works, the FED follows the 2 year yield for interest rate decisions. If the 2 year goes higher they raise, if it goes lower they cut. Most people aren’t going to be ready for what happens in the next 12-18 months.

  • @LuKiSCraft

Agree, but the reason the 2Y yield has dropped is because investors are anticipating that CPI will continue to cool & reach the FED's 2% target fairly promptly. I also tend to agree with that sentiment, but if the data started coming in in a way that suggested otherwise, bond yields could shoot right back up & the FED's first cut could be easily pushed out to Summer or later

In my last conversation with my financial advisor for the 2024 global market, she gave insight into the fact that gold is the best market to look into in 2024 (Both in the stock market and forex market). That was an understandable cause of the ongoing wars in Ukraine, making the United States back out of Russia's oil supply, with the support in the current War in Israel and the United States dollar backed up strong with gold.
