I have seen a team of miners move a hugh boulder out of a California river using 5 ton gripehoists.These same size tracels are used in ship drydocks.The miners took almost 3 weeks to move that boulder.The payoff was $300k at less than $600 per oz at the time.You can buy used ones for less than $500 per unit.They drilled and put in eyebolts on the boulder.No slip and safer than chain.

I love the zip line idea. lot's of work saved. Just a safety suggestion with the chain and come alongs. Throwing a blanket over the chains or cables will act as a shock absorber which will take the stored energy away of the chain or cable should snap. May just save someones life. Great video, thanks!

Get a snow chain set up from a big truck. You can use it to wrap around the rock. Works good for moving big rocks. Use to blow rocks like that up back in the day my Uncle was a explosives Tec 😁we made some nice swimming holes. 😂

Sraps on rock! Chain always slips some. Also a couple snatch blocks to thos trees on the bank halfway between the rock and comealong would have made it easier.

Straps work great but they get chewed up real quick. I have since made a wire rope rock net and bought a gas powered winch and a few snatch blocks. Much better now! Video to come! Thanks for watching!

GET A CHAINSAW WINCH , IT TAKES ALL THE WORK OUT OF PULLING THOSE ROCKS and ALL THE TIME SAVED YOU COULD BE DREDGING > tHE FACTORY IS IN MEDFORD OREGON . i ALSO MADE A NET OUT OF STEEL CABLE THATS WORKS GREAT FOR PUTTING AROUND ROCHS TO PULL THEM OUT.

wouldnt the ridges on the interial wall of the “dredge hose” act as miniature sluices? have you considered checking this?

I just picked up a Gold Hog Piglet I'm itching to test out in the next month or so, hopefully... I did a little panning today, prospecting some new spots, but I got pretty cold pretty darn quick.

The stream gets torn apart every heavy downpour or spring snowmelt. Mother nature changes the streams all the time on her own. Its normal for streams to change on a regular basis.
