The best experience my wife and me ever had on Vliegende Hollander was when the doors on top of the lift hill opened up revealing a solid grey curtain. Apparently, it had started pouring with rain whilst we were queueing inside. It actually matched the dark ride experience really well. We spent the rest of the ride giggling like little kids.

Actually in Vogel Rok, you dont go inside the birds mouth, you go in the mouth of a snake. The story is that the bird Rok protects you from the snakes and other dangers, you (sinbad) are getting a lift from the bird.

kashba is one of the oldest buildings in the efteling but has recently been refurbished. same with sirocco.

The reason Kashba doesn't seem like theme park food is because it's a La Place, which is a national restaurant chain. And yeah, they generally have pretty good stuff. You can find smaller versions in some train stations.

Great vlogs about Efteling. Love it that you do read about the story before you do the rides. Gives you more feeling about the rides. Often you hear the comment: liked the ride, but did not understand it.

Enjoying watching this series having just returned from The Netherlands two days ago! We spent two days at de Efteling and was just amazed. What an incredible park. Joris en de Draak was my favourite, but three rides and we lost every time! Keep seeing bits in your vlogs though that we missed so we'll just have to return 😀

My favorite lovely couple ! Efteling is very beautifull, i was there 3 years ago. Damage for Baron 1898, i love Symbolica, droomvlucht... Dark ride are amazing ! I can't wait for the next video ! Love you guys ❤

A family park , that is not meant to be rushed just enjoy at your own pace , the little swan boat ride , has been around for decades often to decompress the children have a bit of a rest and lunch . One of the few parks that you are welcome to bring your own snacks and foods , I hope you will enjoy the fairy tale forrest as well . as they are themed and told as the originals versions .

Fun fact, that fire engine car's license plate from the old tuffer ride, says T4 - TU - T4 - 02, which means taa tuu taa tuu, just like the sound of a fire engine siren

I higly suggest you walk through the fairytail forest (sprookjesbos) en the laaf village ( laven dorp ) very unique theming. I'm very glad you enjoying your stay there.

You used to get wet in george and the dragon if you chose water. and if you chose fire. Fire would go above you in the ride. But the dragon that did that keeps breaking. so its very expensive to fix it.

Sirocco used to be Monsieur Canibale. The theme was that you were in a bunch of cooking pots of a tribe of cannibals, complete with an extremely racist depiction of a black tribesman. It also played a very dodgy song for children (look it up). It is definitely good that they rethemed it; it was from a different era. Carnaval Festival used to have much more racist depictions of black and asian people as well, but it has been considerably toned down. It's good that Efteling is at least addressing these issues.

Python is one of the only attractions without a story. But as far as i know from the story of the other coasters in Ruigrijk there are short movies. But i think the fun part of Joris and The flying dutchman is that there not Fairy thales but myths :D Little funfact of the Baron: If you dont like rollercoasters you can ask an employe for a "kaartje bovengronds" ticket above ground. I'm not sure if this is still a thing but it was invented for people who wants to see the preshow but dont want to ride the actual ride. And then i have an other little fact. With a disabilaty is efteling still amazing. almost every attraction has a seperate line for wainting (also for autism/adhd) and the playground NEST! every child can play with each other. I think this is one of the most lovely things

Oh and one bonus because why not. I wanted to give you a translation on 13.25 right before the drop Willem vd Decker said: "Ook gij zult varen tot het einde der tijden! Hahaha!" which can be translated to: "You will also sail till the end of time!"

We managed to get pretty much everything covered so I do think you can do it in 2 nights but if you want to take it even more leisurely you could do 3. Guess it depends how busy the park is. @@jbpierce4776 now you do✨ We even have a sign infront that states only kids under 12 may ride, adults (16+..?) may join kids as guidance but every guest above 12 gets turned away, but I understand you wouldn't know unless your kid would have been too old to ride

So stupid that Baron 1898 is closed! It was open for a short while recently, and now closed again. Wonder what's wrong.

at 15:43 thats a trash bin there are many versions a hippo and a guy named holle bolle gijs they love trash and thank u for it in a funny or respectful way its a funny way to get rid of trash people actualy hold on to there trash to give it to animatronics and are seeking for more trash as wel to make him talk again there are many other things u might have missed if u come again u might wanna go in winter aswell for the winter efteling everything changez to winter style thanks to pardoes

Also something I think you might enjoy are the stories behind some of the rides. There’s also a George and the Dragon one, but it unfortunately has no subtitles at all. My favorite is the story of Baron 1898, I’ve watched it several times. Pardoes de Tovernar* had his own tv show as well. It’s called ‘De Magische Wereld van Pardoes’ (The Magical World of Pardoes) and it ran for 13 episodes. You can watch them in full on KZread, but unfortunately they’re only available to watch in Dutch and German. *Tovernar is a double pun, ‘tovenaar’ means wizard and ‘nar’ means jester. And ‘toveren’ means doing magic and/or casting spells, which can be argued is also partially in his title. ‘Tovernar’ is not to be confused with ‘tovenares’ of ‘toveres’ the female version of a tovenaar/wizard. Though the former (tovenares) might still be somewhat used today (some people just use tovenaar instead because a lot of words used for guys are very neutral sounding), the latter (toveres) isn’t used much anymore today.

@@sohelenaandmartyn No problem! I just came back from the Efteling with my BFF yesterday. Even managed to push through my masklophobia (it’s gotten a lot better over the years) and get a picture with Pardoes and Pardijn. My whole body is aching from walking so much, but those 2 days of fun were 100% worth it.

If you call sirroco (wich is the basic teacups) intense you should never get on a huss breakdance ride🤣
