I think there are fewer calls about the rats because the residents are just used to them and don't bother to report sightings.

After more than 300 years after it’s founding, NYC has decided ti address the correlation between garbage pickup and rats.
Bruh, All 5 boroughs have this issue. District 7 isn't the worse. Its just the first to properly file a complaint about it. I see rats all the time everyday from the Bronx all the way to Brooklyn. Even spend thousands of dollars to fix my wire harnesses from my car engines. NYC became expensive, but not for the reasons people think. Its the constant financial fixing of your our property and assets due to the city's carelessness for you and yours.
You are not holding businesses and large commercial landlords accountable. When you go years without issuing fines or enforcing the laws, you can expect this result. Incompetent at best.

I have been in NYC 🗽 many times I have only been in Manhattan..❤ I have never seen anything like what you all are saying! However when you leave garbage out in bags it will only mean trouble! With all types of animals! Why are they just bringing in garbage cans! To me that describes laziness, dirty, disgusting behavior from politicians who don’t care to spend money to keep their cities clean! ..remember rats can mean many different things!lol
