@@jollyholly2851 Having a social life helps for your mental health. And I say this as an introvert. Also, having more contacts can give you more opportunities. Having contact with people releases hormones in your body. If you lack these hormones, it will make you unmotivated. A bad social life will make you unmotivated. There is also a loss of meaning for some people. People who are alone die faster and are 5 times more likely to develop diseases. Etc etc

@@jollyholly2851 Yes but I think more people these days have the problem that they lose time on social medias or videogames and are more lonely overall than the opposite. I heard that studies have shown that people who go into parties and have good social life are actually more likely to succeed at school

if u can get into MIT is a bright future really guaranteed? I heard after graduating from MIT sal khan found himself working at an investment bank. bank job is not bad but I thought MIT graduates do some creative jobs rather than a typical 9to5 office job.

? MIT offers an outstanding education, wonderful professional connections, research/project experience, and internship opportunities. People make of it what they will. Yes, MIT grads tend to go for "creative jobs" inventing new technologies and such, but a lot find a relevant high-paying job eventually and they're fine. It's not wise to generalize. Edit: And nothing is ever "guaranteed." Mark Zuckerberg dropped out of Harvard and yet founded Facebook (or, rather, he dropped out in order to found it). There's a chick that graduated Harvard and now has a boring desk job in some company, but is a hilarious (but relatively unknown) comedian. She studied law. College is not a guarantee for a future. MIT isn't. You work towards your own future. College just gives you the tools and knowledge to achieve your goals.
