There will never be another exciting time like the time when this song came out. This song was big in the summer of 2000. It was being blasted out of everyone's car, stoop, fire escape, apartment, etc. Being from the Bronx we had so much pride when Big Pun was popping 1998-2000. Queens and Brooklyn dominated rap (commercially) for years and although the Bronx had rapper's we didn't have a star like BK had Biggie when he was alive. Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz kicked it off with "Deja Vu" then Pun hit it was a wrap

so let me ask you this since your still in the bronx. How big is Cardi B in the bronx? Was that "I like it" track being blasted at every picnic and house party in the bronx when it released???? What do most puerto rican males ages 16-24 now listen to now ? Are they more influenced by american rap culture or latin trap culture or mix of both??? Just curious times have obviously changed i lived in the bronx from 1994-2000 right across the street from south bronx high school (when it was a high school) . i clearly remember still not a player and its so hard being blasted non stop. does anyone in the bronx care about fat joe anymore? the yankees? sorry i just need to know.
