Big Maine Bucks 2023 - Teaser! Bucks Fighting Early Rut ~

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Stryder and I checked 5 scrape cams today, and captured a nice fight at one of the scrapes. The season is just getting started, so I thought I put out a teaser video. More to come of monster Maine bucks 2023!

Amazing captures once again! I have had zero bucks this year so far. The weather has been balmy for the most... we had some cold last week, but it is warm once again. I am sure your weather is similar.

Hey, I was out this past week scouting new camera sites down in the New Jersey Pine Barrens… I must have had a hundred flea bits, and pull about 20 ticks off of me. My skin was still crawling in bed at night. I ended up in the ER, but all the bits from fleas caused me to have a reaction, I broke out with terrible large haves everywhere and it affected my breathing. So I spent the night there and I got at about 10 PM… IV Anti-reaction medication, steroids, a bunch of other crap. I always knew I was allergic to these things and spider bites, but I didn’t think fleas and gnats would affect me. Going to have to order some protective clothing before I go back out again. Wonderful footage of those bucks gone at it. That little guy, he hung in there and gave it his best. I got to give him that.

These Bucks were just sparing/play fighting, which was kind of surprising for the time of year. I remember seeing footage way back of a couple Bucks about the same age class as these two, and the smaller one of the two had dominated the bigger one in a real fight which was impressive and a big surprise.

Absolutely love your videos! They're the best out there in my opinion. I live in Minnesota where we have wildlife like you have in Maine. I'm looking to purchase a trail camera to try my hand at capturing video of some of our dwindling moose population. I've noticed you use Browning cameras. What would you recommend? Also, how high do you place your cameras generally and do you put locks on your cameras? Thanks and keep up the great work!!

@mykiss16, thank you so much, how kind of you to say! I'm glad you enjoy my videos. I certainly have fun making them. I've somewhat followed the dwindling moose population in MN, and it's really too bad. I do use Browning cams, and I highly reccomend them. I have a fleet of the old Recon Force Advantages, that have been superior. The current model I'm using is the new Recon Force Elite HP5, and so far they are solid. Most of my cameras are about 4' off the ground, but depends on the target animal. For most, 4' is good. I do lock all my cameras, and almost alwasy use security boxes as well. Check out trailcompro.com, that's where I buy my cams and they have been wonderful with customer service. I'm hoping to have the big buck full video done in the next few days. Happy Thanksgiving!

That's super helpful! I appreciate your quick reply. Now I know what to get. If only I can get some videos that are half as good as yours. Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
