Big Mack Granite / Leach 2RIII Garbage Truck Crushing Yard Waste Part 2

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Here's another video of one of the newer Mack Granite Leach rear loaders on a fairly dense and heavy yard waste route over the summer.
Big thanks to the awesome crew for letting me film!
Thanks to everyone for watching!

Awesome video! I could watch these guys forever, they were pretty quick for what they were collecting too. Awesome looking truck, surprised to see it on yard waste, it seems most companies save their older/shittier trucks for yard waste.

They really keep a fast pace. I'm glad they keep their trucks looking nice, but it helps when the contract requires new trucks for the routes.

Thanks for sharing this video!! Growing up, my dad had a leach R2 packer on his 77 ford. We often would try to get the route "all in one load". Summertime bring heavy wet grass clippings from alot of stops. With trying to get it all in one load, the hopper was completely stuffed to the gills as well. At the dump, after releasing the turnbuckles and raising the completely stuffed hopper up, front tires started to come up off the ground. This ever happen to you?

Totars are one of the worst bins for using on the cart tipper. Very cool truck though, I really like the redesigned blade, the Leach 2r3 is my favorite rear loader to work with.

Yeah the toters don't work well on the Leach cart tippers, but they work pretty well for Rockville, they only have toters.

Mid Atlantic Refuse, were I work, we use the Bayne cart tippers, the problem I have with the Totars is the bars break on them quite often so we have to fish them out of the hopper, also the lips on the bins are way too small so we have to lift them on to the cart tipper a lot of the time. We also have Ottos and Cascades, I like those ones a lot more.

Yeah the bars do break a lot, drivers around here carry extra bars and pop them on if they break. The 64 and 96 lips are good, but the smaller 48/20 gallons barely have a lip at all
