Big Iron on the Tabletop: Painting New Vegas' NCR Rangers [How I Paint Things]

NCR Rangers are the fighting arm of the New California Republic. Tough, determined, and highly motivated, they make for dangerous opponents individually but become a force to be reckoned with through teamwork and coordination with the rest of their squad.
The NCR Ranger Patrol is available direct from Modiphius along with the rest of the Wasteland Warfare range, or check out your local gaming supply store! www.modiphius.net/products/fa... Thanks again to the team for sending along the kit to paint up, these are really brilliant miniatures and I'm looking forward to doing some more!

That is a fantastic sculpt! I agree, it would look good on the table or the display case. The painting really makes the model and it looks great. Thanks for sharing this.

Hi, hope you're OK and keeping well? Yet again I'm so impressed with your work and tutorial. I have the Walking Dead No Sanctuary board game and this is perfect for Rick (Sheriff) and Co. As always the perfectly simple but effective tutorial. Good to hear your still enjoying it and having fun. It's what its all about. Keep up the good work and thanks for everything and being a joy to watch. Kind regards Ian.

I'd thought of this being useful for cowboys and other similar miniatures, but it actually hadn't occurred to me that it'd work for sheriffs and similar. Go figure! 😅 Good call on that one.

I have a band of Fallout raiders all primed up but I never painted them up because I find it difficult to make out what each detail is on the models. They sure are pretty and they come with great bases but it seems that getting them looking good would feel like a bit of a chore.

Love the finnished figure with this dry brushing technique. I will have to try it on some AWI continentals in hunting shirts and Militia. What colour would you use to highlight the dark green and purple hunting shirts.cheers once again for a cracking video.🙂👍

@@SonicSledgehammerStudio That's absolutely okay. My post was a bit misleading though. My main experience with Modiphius is the Infinity RPG and that's the blandest cardboard cutout contract work I've ever seen. But I back your channel because your taste differs from mine and not because we like the same stuff. :-) So no worries. Just paint and upload what you enjoy! (Although I would be absolutely hyped if you came around to paint some 100 Kingdoms models for Conquest - The last Argument of Kings. The newer models from the range are incredible. :-D)

My only criticism of Wasteland Warfare models is that some of them have some questionable posing that I feel don't work very well. All of the Caesar's Legion models that are in running poses for example. Boone from the Mojave companion's box is holding his rifle at a pretty awful angle for aiming. Piper from the Boston Companions box having her foot landing on a robot head while running just looks like she's 2 seconds away from a sprained or broken ankle.

Thank you kindly! It's nice to take a step back now and then and just do something quick and 'rough,' with an eye to how it'll look on the table instead of making sure it's gorgeous for a photo. There's too much emphasis on how stuff looks on the box, in my not-even-remotely humble opinion!
