Big Iron on the Tabletop: Painting New Vegas' NCR Rangers [How I Paint Things]
NCR Rangers are the fighting arm of the New California Republic. Tough, determined, and highly motivated, they make for dangerous opponents individually but become a force to be reckoned with through teamwork and coordination with the rest of their squad.
The NCR Ranger Patrol is available direct from Modiphius along with the rest of the Wasteland Warfare range, or check out your local gaming supply store! www.modiphius.net/products/fa... Thanks again to the team for sending along the kit to paint up, these are really brilliant miniatures and I'm looking forward to doing some more!

Looks Lovely grand job
Oh hey, I'm in the middle of a New Vegas binge while I procrastinate on the Cadian army I'm trying to finish printing! Your timing is perfect 😂😂
That is a fantastic sculpt! I agree, it would look good on the table or the display case. The painting really makes the model and it looks great. Thanks for sharing this.
Man, you are one of the few mini painters that I love watching. Your Deathclaw video was spot on. Your work is amazing. I just wish you painted more fallout wasteland minitures. Awesome stuff!☺😁👍

Work smart, not hard!
Hi, hope you're OK and keeping well? Yet again I'm so impressed with your work and tutorial. I have the Walking Dead No Sanctuary board game and this is perfect for Rick (Sheriff) and Co. As always the perfectly simple but effective tutorial. Good to hear your still enjoying it and having fun. It's what its all about. Keep up the good work and thanks for everything and being a joy to watch. Kind regards Ian.

I'd thought of this being useful for cowboys and other similar miniatures, but it actually hadn't occurred to me that it'd work for sheriffs and similar. Go figure! 😅 Good call on that one.
I love the base on that and the really detailed cloth.
Love the cartoonish vibe. Looks great
Wow he looks so great! ❤️ And it makes fun to listen to you, thank you so much 🫶☺️
I have a band of Fallout raiders all primed up but I never painted them up because I find it difficult to make out what each detail is on the models. They sure are pretty and they come with great bases but it seems that getting them looking good would feel like a bit of a chore.
Thank you , Troy .

Great stuff as always - thanks
Wow. I really love this one. I might have to look into these models.
Cracking job mate!
Very well, as always)) You will paint all Fallout miniatures in future?
Damn you really are trying to get me more to the drybrushing side! :D Life hacks!

@@SonicSledgehammerStudio Unpopular opinion in our hobby but I think dry brushing over clothes/leather details gets you a way more realistic result
“How I paint things… never changes” Dammit I laughed. Take your +1 and get out.
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
Whoop the NCR one of my favourite factions in fiction. Looks like I'm replaying New Vegas ring a ding ding Say have you seen the cyberpunk combat zone minis? Because they crisp like this I reckon you'd enjoy them
Love the finnished figure with this dry brushing technique. I will have to try it on some AWI continentals in hunting shirts and Militia. What colour would you use to highlight the dark green and purple hunting shirts.cheers once again for a cracking video.🙂👍
I will never waste money on a Modiphius game again (thanks to their awful RPG line), but your video is great as always and the mini itself is very good as well. :-)

Fair enough! I quite like the RPG range, myself; I've got both Fallout and Star Trek Adventures.

@@SonicSledgehammerStudio That's absolutely okay. My post was a bit misleading though. My main experience with Modiphius is the Infinity RPG and that's the blandest cardboard cutout contract work I've ever seen. But I back your channel because your taste differs from mine and not because we like the same stuff. :-) So no worries. Just paint and upload what you enjoy! (Although I would be absolutely hyped if you came around to paint some 100 Kingdoms models for Conquest - The last Argument of Kings. The newer models from the range are incredible. :-D)
Mini: *is a cowboy* Sledge: *calls him “Dude” about 30 times in 30 seconds* Me: *dies* Paint job looks great!

I couldn't possibly confirm whether or not it was intentional... 😜 Besides, he's technically not a cowboy!
My only criticism of Wasteland Warfare models is that some of them have some questionable posing that I feel don't work very well. All of the Caesar's Legion models that are in running poses for example. Boone from the Mojave companion's box is holding his rifle at a pretty awful angle for aiming. Piper from the Boston Companions box having her foot landing on a robot head while running just looks like she's 2 seconds away from a sprained or broken ankle.
Could you please do a tutorial on the NCR Veteran Ranger?
Very well done, you made it look easy on every step. How long did it take without the cuts?

I mentioned near the end, but it took less than an hour. Probably around 40 minutes or so of actual painting, not counting drying time - I wish I'd had a timer going for it!

Thank you kindly! It's nice to take a step back now and then and just do something quick and 'rough,' with an eye to how it'll look on the table instead of making sure it's gorgeous for a photo. There's too much emphasis on how stuff looks on the box, in my not-even-remotely humble opinion!
