I'm still blown away with how Big Hit was able to join the ranks of the big 3 with just one group. Going from bankruptcy to earning over 400 million in 2019 is incredible. Mr. Bang never gave up on those 7 boys and those boys delivered in the biggest way possible. TXT is coming along nicely, BTS has resigned until 2026, they have plans for an all girl and boy groups for 2021 and 2022. I'm sure they have already planned around BTS and their enlistment. In general Big Hit has smart people running the show and BTS has shown them the importance of treating you're artist the right way.

In 2020 as well, they still support BTS by doing Connect BTS free for public, and releases 4 music videos for mots:7 comeback. Their end of show in 2019 as well, its very clear their performances at MMA and MAMA were very high budget. And now just yesterday, they did livestream 8 concerts for 2 days for FREE. Which kpop company actually willing to do that? Bighit seem very supportive for BTS and willing to do for free fans as well.

That probably won’t work, the age difference is too big. Jin is forced to go this year, while Jungkook is only 22. 18-23 is like the star age / most important years as an idol, that wouldn’t really be fair for him. Not to mention Jungkook and probably another or both maknaes will be left behind and enlisted a year later

I don't know how to exactly explain it but they are still under Source Music, but at the same time, Big Hit brought 80% of them so they are practically under Big Hit...it's just...They're both to be honest. People thought they were since Debut now it's just more official. One thing that hasn't changed since Debut is that they are a Source Music girl group, with close ties to Big Hit.

Fire cemented them in korea as one of the leading hallyu group..but WINGS album made them take off for international recognition...Blood sweat and tears made so many records for the first time..thats when the first 24hr record in YT became a competition between fandoms..I remmber the fun of breaking records that time..then comes BBMAs..thats where BTS accelerate their success more..Love yourself HER is their american debut..they opened the gate wo werstern market..and the rest is history...us ARMYs even BTS serves the military, the consumptions of goods will not change as long as they continually release contents...Bighit is a clever company full of strategists and genuises..You think whats the use of their chibi then? even if BTs will release songs using their chibis in the MVs..ARMYs will still love it...hahaha

@@estelaangeles2346 no didn't. The rapline have spoken so often about how they struggled writing certain songs because it wasn't perfect enough. If they weren't serious about it, we would've had Jungkook's mixtape years ago but we haven't yet because he said he's not satisfied with it yet. The entire vocal line is writing music and always asking Namjoon and other in house producers to review, instead of writing something simple and calling it a day. They have always been serious and hard working, that's why they are where they are today

Sometimes, when I feel like I wanna give up, all that comes to my mind is "if they did it, why can't I" seriously BTS have been my inspiration for everything.

They cross over cultures, languages and nationalities and build a strong dedicated, passionate fanbase Like if 5 years ago someone would have told me about a Kpop group breaking international selling records with a mainly korean album and basically owning Twitter I would have asked myself what crazy world is the future But now all I see is that they *deserve it, so much* they did this, they build their path to this point with ARMY as their wings 👏👏👏

Not even a single person in it wanted to be a idol at start.what a odd ball it was to roll. 1) A genius level intellect who wants to show his talent/command in lyrics and rapping after getting inspired by a rap song. 2)A pure music lover composer and producer from heart and soul 3) A pure street dancer who wants to just break the stage and at a point almost was to leave the company. 4)An actor who has no idea of becoming singer /dancer 5) A wannabe dance teacher with excellent range of dancing skills but no interest in anything more. 6)A kid who came to audition to support his friend but got selected instead 7) A idol level talent who just wanted to be a dancer nothing more but took a route different only after being impressed by its leader. What's even surprising was they were predominantly based on only hip hop genre and was relying totally on the style of our first three underground rappers. Even Thier name is a odd ball out there for the content they have covered later in the career just after Thier first mini album no fancy k pop flashy name rather a very plane lengthy name which was rather funny at first look especially when it comes from a random unknown company with goofy little kids compared to big three groups from in 2013. Who would have known A little group will come from a rather unknown style of music genre called k pop, from a rather unknown place of origin in 2013 will redefine music history and make K pop mainstream /relevant to audience in hundreds of nations all around the world. The support they are having is earth shattering and the legacy they are carving is legendary and historic.

I have to agree, logically it was not supposed to work. These combination are not the usual idol group mixture but Bang Si Hyuk, Big hit & BTS have proven to them (entertainment industry) wrong. The fact they fight hard against these big companies and already established institutions by being a small company and now have grown so big has never ceased to amaze me.

Imagine the world without Park Jimin's angelic vocals... I'm glad that he didn't get the job.

And I the only who isn't too worried for Jin's enlistment? he's going to be fine, underneath the dad jokes and squeaky laughter is a hot muscular bod. It's okay if BTS goes to the military because ARMYs ain't leaving. We will still be here, streaming their songs, watching their contents, and continue supporting them. And when they come back, we will be welcoming them with open arms.

I didn't say I knew they would be huge, when I first started watching them back in 2013 a few months after they debut my question then was why aren't they bigger then what they were. I was amazed that they weren't bigger then what they were. When people commented on their videos you recognized the names because they were always the same people talking about them. When they blew up I was stunned and shocked that finally people took notice of them. I am so happy and proud for them and all they have accomplished!

And now ENHYPEN has also been slotted into the big family!

Same! I used to binge watch every react episode on FineBros including the kpop episodes even tho I wasn’t a fan of kpop, and BTS stopped me dead in my tracks, I was so impressed and loved the song. However I was so biased back then I didn’t want to like BTS so I forced myself to ignore them. Fast forward a year later when I was bored on tumblr one day. I saw a kpop idol on my feed which made me think of BTS and so I looked them up again and BOOM became a stan

I think that winning the Daesang award was what set of the other events that caused Bts' popularity rise. After that they started to become well known all over and then after the AMAs everyone knew who they were.

How are you not gonna mention Wings era? That was their first album to sell 1 million and BST was their first #1

Actually, wings is the first Kpop album to sell 1 million in a while. Them beating other big3 group in sales while it's not even their worldwide breakout prove how BTS would continue dominating Kpop even without going to billboard. Not to mention, wings is the highest charting Kpop album in billboard at that time too.

What if they make a secret album that they release after all members have already been in the army for a couple of months(assuming they all go together). I mean it would be immense pressure and would require more hard work than they have ever done because they'll have to make an album to put out just before joining the military while simultaneously recording another to be released later. The fandom is pretty big so if they pre record some content and release an extremely amazing album as they always do then it might feel like they never even left. Just think about it. They'd probably be like the first group ever to have a no.1 album on billboard with all the group members in the military

Unless they release it for free they wouldn't be allowed cause if i remember right bigbang got in trouble for releasing a song while in the military cause when you enlist you're not allowed to work and even if you made it beforehand its still seen as work though I could see korea's tourism/entertainment sector asking for exceptional circumstances to allow it cause BTS releases bring in tons of money to the korean economy

Gfriend is the cherry on top to this amazing BH empire! Big Hit really know what is talent and capitalizes on it!

To me, the MAMA 2016-performance was THE moment I started to feel I was watching something unique unfold. And there were many factors: choreography, production, art work, talent, personalities, and a LOT of hard work. They performed different songs in a way that showed their different qualities convincingly. I regularly go back to watch the J-Hope/ Jimin mix of "Boy Meets Evil" and "Lie" - I love it

Wait, wings ??? I would say "blood sweat tears" was the point that changed it all. It was a very different and deep video in kpop that pushed people to take them seriously!!

I'm pretty sure gfriend will become more popular bc of bighit entertainment 👀

BTS got known internationally with Blood Sweat and Tears with the WINGS concept and theories rising. Even though I personally got into BTS since I NEED U era with their first win.

Since I wasn't an army since most beautiful moments of life era I've to say that being an outsider at that time, I feel that what made bts rise in the kpop community was most beautiful moments in life but what made them rise in the world was Wings and a win in the bbma's

I feel like late 2015 - Early 2016 really was a period where a lot of people became fans of BTS. Wooah 1TEAM, Imma watch the episode

Look I get why people just refer to GLAM as a Big Hit girl group because it's easier and Big Hit is more well known, but Glam was under both Big Hit and Source Music 50/50. So, I don't really believe the B.S. that they were afraid to debut another girl group. I think they simply decided to give the reins to Source Music, especially considering he gave two of his trainees to join Gfriend. I mean even with this upcoming girl group, Big Hit is giving the reins once again to Source Music. I believe they probably started a girl group and boy group company thing because no doubt they have been friends and business partners for a long time. This whole thing just didn't come out of there ass, especially when he paid millions to acquire Source Music. I also think it was a security thing, for when BTS do go to the military.

No more dream- debut and even though it wasn’t popular, made them stand out as Rookies I need you- change in style to more mainstream, got them a solid small fanbase and first music show win Dope- kicked them into the spot light among other popular KPOP groups (how I got to know them) Fire- pushed them into Exo tier popularity (most competitive era between fandoms but it was fun) I have a feeling once BTS’s reign is over people will always remember this song (along with spring day maybe) Blood sweat and tears- THIS is what made BTS for the first time the most popular KPOP group and marked the beginning of their unmatched success Spring day- added this because even though it wasn’t a conventional KPOP song it did better on the charts then any other song from them and Korea in history which speaks for how solid the fanbase is and BTS’s desire to release quality music DNA- gained them a crazy amount of western popularity and made them the new face of KPOP Everything since then has grown exponentially and now BTS are competing and collaborating with the top artists in the WORLD Proud of my boys and watching them become legends

BTS’ military exemption will be delayed until each members turn 30 years old, so Jin will certainly have atleast one more year to be with BTS and do their activities. Another news that just came up is that the Korean Government is pushing for Military EXEMPTION for Pop Artists who have achieved a huge success in spreading Korean Culture and Pride all over the world, it is really timely on BTS’ Number 1 Billboard Hot 100 success. This mandatory military revision is definitely in consideration of BTS unmatched success, although the members are very clear of their stand of going to the military when the duty calls. You see, BTS isn’t just a Kpop anymore, they are now the definition of the whole SOUTH KOREA itself. They bring so much pride to South Korea that the whole country is in awe and celebrating every success that they achieve. They’re being treated on a President’s level, if you’ve watched KBS’ interview with BTS, you’ll know what I mean. They now have the best selling album in the U.S. in the first half of 2020, and they just reclaimed their record for the most views in 24 hrs for their new song Dynamite garnering 101.1 million views., they set up 5 Guinness world record for that specific Music Video. The won 4 MTV VMA awards, and they just become the only Kpop group who were able to perform at the FOUR AMERICAN MAJOR MUSIC AWARDS; BBMAs, AMAs, MTV VMAs, and Grammys., and the list goes on... Now, if you’re still not convinced that BTS PAVED THE WAY. Then you might as well just pave your way back to your momma’s womb. 😂

Actually Gfriend is Bighit girlgroup only bcs of failure of GLAM make Bighit give opportunity for Source Music produce girlgroup while bighit produce boygroup. That's why Sinb were transfered to Soumu even she was in Bighit since 9years old (if I'm not wrong)

I do find it funny how the only reason Eunha joined Gfriend is that Big Hit called her up and asked her to join. Big Hit is a big reason why we have the Gfriend we have today. I do also think the only reason Gfriend debut as a Source Music girl group was because of the downfall of Glam. Therefore the two companies stopped actively working together in the public eye, but we don't know anyhting for sure so let's just leave the past in the past and focus on where the groups are right now.

@@katiebear0 we have the girls now due to 2 other trainees leaving, one is in DIA the other gone, Sinb went over as CEOs good friends all others except Umji are from other companies Eunha was mentioned by someone to source as she had gone back to school, so thy called her Umji was asked to audition when she was spotted on the street, they were a gg thrown together in a big hope to prevent total collaspe of source music, they were meant to be a 7 member gg

For the military service part, I feel like Big Hit should either send them all in one group or in two groups. I think that it'll be easier to manage and maintain in two groups. The first group to go would be Jin, Yoongi, Hoseok, and Namjoon, leaving Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook to make up the second group. If they do it this way, in both periods of military service, the group will have at least one member that can sing and at least one member who can rap (assuming that either Jungkook would go back to the earlier days of his rapping or Taehyung or Jimin picked it up). It also would mean that there is one English speaker in each group - Namjoon or Jungkook. Although through this process about three and a half years will pass, it might be easier than having a almost 2 year hiatus. Not to say that ARMY wouldn't be able to keep BTS afloat or that we would disappear - of course we could, we're the ARMY for a reason - but at this moment, BTS is at the very peak of their career. If they were to go on a full group hiatus, BTS might fall through international recognition. All of ARMY will continue to love and support and promote our boys, but if they aren't there, even partially, than people will stop listening. On the other hand, a group hiatus works too. 1 year and 8 months is a much shorter amount of time and no one has to try and hold together the group as smaller pieces. And about international recognition and career peaks? Who knows?! BTS will still be often mentioned as the biggest boy band and an international icon and their careers will peak once they return. It's not like ARMY will forget them. We're going to be waiting, charting BTS's full discography once or twice a month until they return. So, my point here is, no matter how Big Hit and BTS decide to go about military enlistment, ARMY will be here because they were here for us. Love you BTS and ARMY! 💜💜💜

Yo if this COVID extends for another year, that’ll mean the chances of seeing BTS in a concert is pretty low knowing that Jin will have to go on to enlist. And if what you say is true, then there will be no BTS till 3 years from now. That’s depressing 😨😭
