Fabulous day! Congratulations Lizzie! Cammy, thanks for showing us your work with the blades. My great grandfather was a champion sheep shearer in Wyoming back in the early 1900s. It’s nice to see how shearing with blades is done.

Good to see you giving the hand shears a go, they are tough going. And definitely the reason many older sheep farmers had forearms like popeye

I really love watching these shearing competitions, I wish I was there to see it for real. It feels like an exciting environment. Loved that, took me back to my childhood in the Borders. Great grandfather had a sheep farm ,( Cheviots). I Spent a lot of time there as a child, (64 now), you can't get a better upbringing. He won prizes at shows for his ewes and used blades for shearing, impressed with you bladework Cam, you made that look easy. Great grandfather used the old ways and would have delt with any dog off the lead with a shotgun, some say he was a hard man but when you see the results they leave I don't think so. Adore the way everyone gets stuck in even wee Jock.😊😊😊

The shoes slide better than a rubber sole and allow them to make quick adjustments with their feet

Great job! When I shear my own, I use a stand to get them off the ground. And I use scissors. 😂 it's great that all of you seem to get along. Just a little friendly competition.

Love watching the shearing and good to see some of the traditional blades. Can you imagine the sheep at the of the day chatting though? "What on earth just happened there? Are they all doing speed this summer or is the apocalypse coming?!" 😂❤

I love watching blade shearing. It’s much quieter! Fernhill Farm on the Mendips will be having their shearing day in September. It’s a shame you’re so far away, we have a great time.

happens. You get onto the next one and put it behind you. Jut think you're doing Archie with doubly thick fleece. Thing about Lizzie is that she never looks like she's working hard. If she played tennis, she'd be roger Federer just breezing through and making things look easy.

Loved the video! Thank you for showing the competition and I especially enjoyed the final shear with those shear scissors ( I don’t know what they’re called…sorry). I can not imagine how sore a persons hands would be using those. I really love all your videos, you make them interesting and fun.

We all have bad days Cammy

Competition can be brutal but I've found them to be the best learning, and motivating, tool around. I've felt kicked in the nards several times (tricky thing being female, that) but it's made me better. Mine was with showing Arabian horses, not shearing, but same concept (sore nuts, so to speak, ha!) Still and all, congratulations to you both. Damn good show.

You & your wife sis great. I could never do what you both can do. It be fun to try.
