I am assuming you are going for the business analytics or data science program. The program at Lewis University itself uses sql 2012, weka, tableau, and the 2016 version of excel which are all heavily out-dated. The industry now uses Web Apache, R, and Python. Basically whats happening is that they are taking your tuition and using it to fund their undergraduate programs. You’ll know its a scam when your classes only consist of international students and maybe one university staff member posing as a student. I cannot stress enough how big of a scam Lewis University is.

I’d go public as they tend to be more well funded and better connected with employers in their surrounding communities. That being said anything in the UK is infinitely better than the US because the transition from student visa to the working visa in stem fields requires continued employment in the US. Whereas in the United Kingdom you can lose your job without the risk of getting deported. The schooling is a bit different. In the UK you’ll write more papers. In the US you’ll take more exams. I’d say that the cost associated with an american education with few prospects after school make it a giant scam. You’ll pay 1900 plus in principal per year and be forever-ly in-debit to the US government or what ever institution bought the debt. Have you ever thought about why the graduate programs contain so many international students and so few domestic students?

Its a giant scam. They use the international graduate program to fund the undergraduate level plus landscaping. Basically your tuition is going towards their pristine campus versus useful classes and anything that will land you a job afterwards. As a general rule private schools in illinois outside of Northwestern or The University of Chicago are really bad. This is why you do not see any domestic students in those classes.
