Oh and by the way the first barrel this year I had it boat side gaffed it almost got ripped out the boat lost the gaff the fish and the lure lol so it’s nice to see I’m not the only one lol

Never reach way out or dig deep to gaff a hot large tuna tough way to learn the lesson but an important one. Fish came to the boat so green, I know it's hard but you gotta get a solid gaff in the head and keep his head out of the water immediately. The guy leadering the fish should have a gaff next to him ready to go in the rodholder (put a couple gaffs in the rodholders when the fish is getting close so the other guys can quickly grab them and assist) painful one but great video
