What’s really interesting is that his name is Kaan and in hindi it translates to ears😄 Really nice film❤

Oh, my heart. All his life, all his despair, to finally hear something nice about his ears. It seemed more impactful than cancer. Beautifully acted, devilishly funny and the direction was just so British. Thank you, i loved that.

very nice, very sweet comment, but you have never done cancer, let alone cancer six times, all thirteen years of it ...by yourself. His life is mine and it is the most empty, hurting, lonely feeling of waste and futility and loss ever. The one thing that the writer didn't mention in the movie was time, and it is time that a person with cancer thinks about the most. And when you realize that asking why is meaningless then the rest is somnambulism. Yes, I have found an entire new life of positives, miracles, and faith, but it is times like this man's portrayal of cancer that draws me back to the stark raw emotion of fear and hopelessness and the dread of having to live with both of these until ....

Of course they are, and unless you have them yourself. You have no clue about the pain and shame. Constantly being made fun of, worst of all your own siblings. Which turns into the FUN 🤩 of torturous school children. That’s why I have always tried to be kind to and help others.
Amit Shah is a brilliant talented actor and I believe that he has successfully delivered the character and built the emotional bridge between Kaan and the audience. Bravo The fresh story, excellent direction, and the absence of background music make it realistic and leave the audience wanting more...
Beautifully acted and lovely dialogue. One minor correction related to medical facts. Testicular cancers almost never spread to the anus. The reason testicular cancers don't spread locally has to do with how the testes descend from behind the kidneys through the inguinal canal during fetal development. Lymphatic channels are preserved, so secondary mets tend to appear in the retroperitoneum (and elsewhere distant). Incidentally the prognosis for people who go through treatment in this situation tends to be really good, although treatment toxicity remains a concern.
As a cancer survivor that experienced some of the same issues he is facing, I celebrate this movie as a glimpse into the ultimate truth that, despite potential and understandable emotional devastation, our awareness is always limited - that underneath and far beyond, beyond our current comprehension: life loves us.

This was really poignantly sweet. A man who is facing his deep complexities confronted with his mortality. And facing with courage in the end with his outburst. His friend who receives the acting role getting what he wants. His joy but not being able to express it fully. The things we do and don't want in life. The complex layers of human existence. This was a smooth, well constructed and putting together of complex human emotions and stories. 💐
His ears are wonderful. They make him unique.

Such a rerious topic in such a short movie! When ppl are face-to-face with death they suddenly become aware of how many things and people that are unnecessary in their life. Only God can help in a situation like that coz He gives hope and love. Let's all be blessed to know Him untill it's late❤

i loved the teddy bear gift. we all need to spend time with people that make us feel better. i remember i used to hang around with a 'friend' she said i was depressing and i realised she depressed me too, but it was she who kept asking me to go out and i went reluctanctly. No more. i now protect my mental health. This is a subtle every day kind of scenario...(except for cancer diagnosis) but so meaningful.

Wow this shows how people are their own harshest critics- about things other people don't notice, and as this film shows, even like about the person. The way that you had Kaan apologizing to his friend and supporting his friend is very true of people that have cancer-they spend a lot of time holding up the people around them, even though they are the ones with the disease. What a beautiful film

This is so utterly sad, but completely engaging. I really felt for Kaan, thanks to his totally believable performance and subtle glimpses of his inner dialogue - a lovely, well rounded performance, and one that was completely matched by the other cast members. They were all real individuals, with none of the visible "acting" flooding TV and film these days. The much overused term "gritty realism" is almost always bandied about when referring to ridiculous gun action and destruction, but this lovely film is what the term means to me. I really wanted to see more of this.
Well done. Bravo!

So....we see a real-life actor who doesn't have cancer, that auditioned and 'won' the lead role of: an actor who has cancer, that failed an audition to play the part of a man who has cancer. Excellent short film and Amit is an excellent actor.
