Man it's always great to see some units that do not get used that much mastered by a guy. I really like the kriegrats myself shame they do not have the ammo though... Even with the ammo doctrine I have it's rough.

Returning player and found that my number 1 fav unit the Kriegsrats aren't even close to what they used to me, tempted to try these guys out of sadness

Yeah, Kriegs are a bit underwhelming. Try imperials, they are much more fun :D

The problem is that most units and particularly this type of unit (low mobility and low hp) are rendered useless by cc immune YYD. One unstoppable swipe and bye-bye 250 leadership. Due to the power of YYD to be effective, you can only take a handful of units and/or play YYD yourself. I hate that this has been the case for so long now.

Yyd are op, there is no doubt but I wouldn't say that imperials are useless against them. They have a huge dmg bonus against cav so you can kill a lot before they even reach you. In general, I feel like one of the problems with yyd is that they spread out all over the place so it's hard to focus them down. Ranged units don't have this problem but only imperials have enough DPS to kill them in a timely manner.

They could make them what tercios were supposed to be - ranged but able to defend themselves in melee
