GUYS THE SHENGSHOU CRAXY 4X4 IS NOT A REAL 4X4X4, I WAS WRONG!! There is also a Double Circle Real 6x6x6, and a Double Circle Real 5x5x5 v2 (turns much better) that I didn't mention in the video, so please please go check out Carl's channel [link in the description] :D

I actually own the 5x5 version. The 5x5 has always been a favorite. It's a nice round number. It's a "big cube" so it's not just a simple puzzle. Plenty of dofferent methods to solve it. I saw the original years ago. So when he made a V2 (and now that I make adult money that I can spend on toys) I had to get it. It is incredible. It's the pride of my collection. I will absolutely be saving up for the 6x6

As someone who always cared more about the math of the cube than actually solving it, this is something I have thought about for years. I think this kind of cube would prevent parity issues, though I'm not 100% certain. Regardless, I want one.

I think only the odd ones would prevent parity
@Sam_on_YouTube
Жыл бұрын
@@maxvangulik1988 I don't think so. Parity errors are definitely tied to the inner cube. I solve centers last and I fix parity errors by rotating the inner cube. If you had it in the correct orientation to start, I think you'd be good. I can't remember right now exactly which rotations tie to which parity errors. I know the even cube has an extra one. Haven't solved on in a while. A little rusty.

@@Sam_on_KZread also odd cubes have centers of faces that can’t swap. Because those can’t be seen on a void, you can get parity on a void cube.

I love it when I find a channel early. There are several huge channels I subscribed to when they were tiny, like Ask a Mortician and Philosophy Tube. Hopefully you're next. It is hard to have a new and interesting perspective on cubing, as it is a pretty well worn topic. So far, I like what I've seen.

Thanks! I have a few channels I watch that I found early too. I remember watching Mr. Beast when he had maybe 10k subs. Anyways, thanks! I see pretty much every other cubing KZreadr do the same speedsolving videos all the time, but I like pushing the limits into strange directions that should be further explored.
I love cube theory this is really nice

The imaterialise shop is much cheaper but still a 3d printed custom puzzle. I think I paid $700-750 for it. Definitely not more than $800. Including the colored tiles and shipping.
I don't really know much about cubing (your videos are just fascinating) but could you possibly make a 7x7x7 with a 5x5x5 inside and a 3x3x3 inside of that?

Super interesting discussion
Woah why did I not think about this before? I always just assumed that they had their respective number of pieces lol
actually, you multiply the # of pieces on one side by 6 (to get the pieces on all the sides combined)

@cheesedabber
Жыл бұрын
False, if you do it this way you count how many faces the cube has but we are counting the pieces. For example one corner piece has three faces meaning it is visible from three sides. If we use your method of counting pieces we would be counting one corner piece three times.
I didnt find someone talk about these internal pieces problem and its hard to find information in internet too

Real 4x4 (4x4+2x2 inside) is not Sengso 4x4, but MF Crazy 4x4 V1. Sengso Crazy 4x4 is Fused 3x3 Edges only inside (like in Sengso Crazy 2x2). P.S. Spoiler - Crazy 4x4 V2/V3 is Super Real 4x4. V3 is the same V2, additional corners no need to solve.
imagine paying 980 bucks for something you can print yourself
What about a real 3x3x3 with a 1x1x1 in it? 🙂
@alexsinclair5358
Жыл бұрын
1x1x1 cubes are too difficult to solve so I think it would end up being impossible to do, even with a computer
3d so 3 dimensional which means you're calculating volume and since it's volume it is the inside of cube so 1 corner center and edges is equal to 1 nxnxn=n 4x4x4=64 length width height
