This is why "leave it" is quite possibly one of the most important commands to teach your dog

    Or even no? Lol

  • @ghostlyexe

@@andrewmetzger3778no is too vague and broad of a command. No what? And it’s also one of the most common words used, it can get confusing, so it’s not actually recommended for that to be a command word. That’s why things like, “leave it” are recommended, so it’s easy to identity what exactly you want them to do. The more you know!

"drop it" is also good for when they already got something when you weren't looking. The amount of random birds my dog has brought into the house is insane

  • @annelisasdogmomadventures6753

What most people don’t comprehend is when the dog feels or sees his mom is in danger his impulse and job is to protect her SO HES NOT GONNA STOP !! He’s trying to protect HER while she’s trying to protect HIM !! Also : it’s like a kid - we teach our kids NO and yet when something entices them theirs no way to control them sometimes !! Like when their scared their going crazy and you say “ it’s okay it’s okay” and they keep screaming some shit is just nature yal !!

  • @bobbobert9379

    Ай бұрын

@@annelisasdogmomadventures6753 the dog was not going after the crab to protect. It was going after the crab because the crab is an interesting stimulus that made the dog excited. Teaching a good "leave it" is vital and if the dog just ignores it when something is exciting then it's pointless. You should aim for your dog to respond to such commands even when things are very exciting for them.
