People saying Taylor will be forgettable as if she isn't the first black woman to win and if I'm not mistaken the first person to both win the game and win AFP, used a fake fauxmance to make her seem like less of a threat and have it actually work, getting drunk around the "girls girls" and opening up, seeming like less of a threat (can't remember if that was intentional but it was funny regardless), she was good in the comps, unintentionally gave us a love triangle. Gave us "with the lays". Had the houseguest pressed over an outfit. Like her or not. Her coming out on top in the finale in the face of all of the others who underestimated, disrespected, and/or outright bullied her definitely brings a strong case for a top 5 placement overall. This season had so many bad strategic moments, but the payoff was worth it and each week was extremely exciting. It was especially worth it since Taylor, the ultimate underdog, won. The examples I can think of for the bad strategic moments are as follows: 1. Pooch offering himself as a pawn against Taylor, which caused him to be evicted unanimously by the girls alliance led by Ameerah. 2. Daniel using the veto on Alyssa/Indy in week 4, which caused the backdooring and eviction of Nicole, his #1 ally at the time. 3. Turner putting up Kyle as the replacement nominee at Final 8 (although I understand it would’ve looked bad on the outside if he didn’t, but either way it was a horrible strategic move because Kyle was in the After Party alliance with him) 4. Micheal not targeting Turner/Monte on his HOH at Final 7 and evicting Terrance instead, which bit him in the ass immediately in the double since Turner won HOH and Monte won veto, which caused his 6th place finish. 5. Turner not evicting Taylor at Final 5, which gave Monte better chances of making it to the end since nobody besides Alyssa planned on taking Turner to end 6. Monte taking Taylor to the final 2 despite it being confirmed he would have beat Turner in a jury vote, despite Turner making an extremely good plea to take him to the end, being that his jury management was actually really awful. (ironic that him winning the final HOH made him lose the game, since if Turner had won he would’ve cut Taylor and took Monte)

I wonder how much Taylor and Brittany really did convince Monte that Turner was a threat. I feel like, ultimately, it was the misogyny that won the day. Monte couldn't wrap his head around the idea that ANY woman would beat him and the biggest competition left had to be a man. I think that's unfortunately the story of BB24: so much good happened but it was also always baked into so much bad. We always got served both. Our Brochella always had a bit of Dyre Fest in in. Still, I'm going to remember season 24 much more for its good than its bad even if the bad needed to happen first. This season is a memory that will last a lifetime with Taylor being the most satisfying winner since at least Dan and possibly ever.

Would you not say that the reality of Taylor's journey on #BB24 is the script that any writer trying to make their breakthrough would kill for? This to me represented every one of those 1980s I saw growing up where the nice girl, whom in this case, happens to be a nice girl of color, is bullied by one person's "perception judgement" of her instead of getting to know her that causes everyone else just accepting the "mean girls' perception" as truth when all of their eyes were trying to tell them something completely different. To have all the bullies get their 'come-uppence,' to the heroine survive the horror that was constantly being through at her every day. Building up to where we think she will not survive, only to have EVERY star line up to bring her almost to the top of the mountain. Taylor's final speech is that monologue that gives everyone watching this movie the goosebumps because we all not only hear what she is saying, but we all FEELING it and we do look inside of ourselves to see every word Taylor said was 100% true. Then not only does our heroine win the game, becoming the first black woman to win, but becomes the first winner in the history to also win AFP. We were treated to the first summer blockbuster that was not seen in movie theaters, but on TV, where instead of eating hot-buttered popcorn, we all were had a bag of #lays to share with the "Queen!"

This season had so much going on. It is the definition of a rollercoaster season. From Taylor being isolated in week 1 to Paloma self-evicting, Pooch's bad move, the Leftovers forming, the Split House twist, the situation with Kyle, Michael, and Brittany, all the way to the finale with Taylor winning against all odds. I absolutely loved this season. It's one of the few modern seasons I could fully watch from beginning to end (minus the Memory Lane episode). This is a fantastic season despite its flaws. I rank it as a top tier season, probably around #3 as well (behind Seasons 6 and 10).

I gotta say I loved ur review. This was by far my favorite modern season next to BB17 and BB20. It started rough but the week the leftovers formed and Amerrahs blindside it was classic BB. Also the festie bestie twist wasn't my favorite but loved the split house twist. I would like to see it again but with week 2. Michael eviction I was on the edge of my seat and love Brittany's reaction. I loved how much messy drama Brittany brought in final 5 and on the feeds. Did u notice that BB24 didn't do any powers or other big twists? They didn't need it. Monte at the end taking Taylor thinking he had it in bag and played himself. After two boring seasons and a terrible BB21 this season was so refreshing. I loved Taylor's win it was so satisfying

At my job we have to watch bullying training videos and there is one called social bullying which happened to taylor. Maybe it"s recency bias but this is honestly my favorite season of Big Brother. Never before have I related so well and rooted as hard for a player as I have Taylor. Admittedly it's partly due to her story of resiliency and leading me to question what's my story which I ultimately concluded is also one of resiliency. Even when I take my personal feelings out of it I still think this season has pretty much everything you can ask for. Epic blindsides and downfalls, a fantastic story and winner, twists that while on paper suck ultimately worked to the benefit of this particular season, records being broken. The list just goes on and on.

I've always wondered what a season would look like if they edited it after the fact like Survivor so they could have coherent narratives throughout. I have a feeling this season would look very different and people would actually see what happened to Taylor instead of it being downplayed as much as it was. We'd also have gotten a way different look at what Kyle said instead of it being downplayed until it couldn't be anymore and then Brittany and Michael being opportunists.

I’ve been watching BB for about 15 years and I don’t think I’ve ever felt such a connection to a cast member. This was one of my favorite seasons to watch. It gave off BBCAN 9 vibes, like seeing the true hero ending to a Legend of Zelda game. I was tearing up when Taylor won, because she went through so much. From being bullied, to being a cat with 9 lives, to the ultimate underdog, almost like a Denise Stapley story, Taylor earned that win and is one of my favorite winners in Big Brother. As much as the beginning of this season made me wanna stop watching the show, but it made up for it with the end game and finale.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who this this is a Top 5 season now that it's all said and done. It's been said a million times but this is the best winner's story ever. Not just for Big Brother but for maybe all competitive reality TV. I think some people are docking it points because they didn't like the cast overall, but I think that's going to depend on what you look for in a BB cast. If you want to be rooting for as many people as possible then yeah, this cast had a lot of really unlikeable people. But so many of the "bad people" brought so much to the season. Seeing Nicole's crazy, self-absorbed meltdown after Ameerah went on the block? That was iconic. And Daniel having a meltdown because Nicole didn't prioritize his feelings during *her* meltdown? Even more iconic. And don't get me STARTED on Jasmine. Thank you for recognizing her greatness. I need her and Raven to play together in an All Stars season.

Michael was the best part of this season. That guy was a savage. Watching Brittany’s face as he gave his speech before eviction was classic. The guy was a breath of fresh air. What always made big brother intriguing was that people don’t have to like each other. The fights, drama, and delusion are what make this show fun to watch. However, the typical big brother fan is easily offended, and those types of players are rare in this day in age.
