Fun fact. Matt made history this year changing the rules of big brother. You aren’t allowed to use false information like this anymore. You can lie about your life but you cannot use that in order to further your game for the hopes of winning the money. They touched base about this when interviewing Rachel in the season she won . She literally said “at least big brother doesn’t allow people who fake family diagnosis on the show anymore; that was a huge help to me this season” 🤣🤣🤣

That was actually fucked up that Matt made up a lie like that. It made me sick to my stomach literally when he admitted that it was a lie. So he got what his karma by getting evicted. But Raegan and Rachel actually became best friends after the show. So I definitely believe the house puts a lot of stress on the houseguest so then that’s why they fight.

Rachel is not an evil conspiring human being with bad intentions, but girlllll she had dreadful social skills.

I wish Matt made it to the final two so he could lie to the entire jury about his wife's disease. And when the jurors watch the show at home after they vote him, they'd regret everything and it would be hilarious.

I don’t know why he never got as much flak as Jonny Fairplay. At the time of BB12 Survivor was just barely Post-Russell, and since fandoms share each other in all places I’m sure thats why Matt got a bit more away with it than Jonny only being chalked up to be a villain and drama starter in jury house rather than one of the worst people ever. The thing is this lie is worse, since Jonny Fairplay only said my grandmother died and thats that while Matt said he’d use the money to support his wife, yet Matt came off looking less evil than Fairplay. Shows an interesting development in how the Edit/America/Viewers see players. Today, I’m sure its back to that sort of era, where if you did what Matt did then you’d be portrayed as the villain Jonny was set out to be.

@@noavink1 I think it's also because there's more of a history with BB and these types of lies (like Will lying in BB2 about cancer), and BB is seen as grimier than Survivor, which is always the bigger show. I agree if a player tried this type of lie today, it would get much more of a backlash.

If Matt could win out maybe but as a whole Hayden and the Brigade turned on him and was the reason for Matt's eviction. Matt's biggest flaws was he showed his card too early and was too shady.

I think it was because in addition to them all laying low, Hayden, Enzo, and Lane almost never won any challenges, so none of them were perceived as a threat.

That's what makes Ragan's eviction tragically ironic, because he was evicted the ONE week of the game where both Lane and Enzo managed to win something.

​@@jacksonia7724 Yeah, a lot of people forget just how bad the three Brigade members were when it came to competitions. Hayden didn't start steam rolling through the game until the FINAL FOUR. He had only won two comps prior to that. That's something Matt himself even commented on, lol. "The brigade's got to get their act together, I mean, I'm pulling all the weight here."

It’s the way Regan cleared Rachel every time she tried to come for him 😭😭 every time he was just like now let me tell you why you’re problematic

Matt lying about a disease isn't making anyone suffer. It actually would have helped those suffering if he won because he was going to donate a chunk of his winnings to a foundation for the disease. Emotional detachment is the key to Big Brother success. You have to deceive and pretend to be someone you're not to win and if you're going to be a "Fraud" you may as well go all in and be a fraud with $500,000 by whatever means necessary. Big Brother is made to be a cruel game. The problem was how he went about it. Yeah, it would have made it easier to win a jury vote but that potential sympathy also makes it easier to label him as someone who needs to go. That's the kind of story you break out at the final 2 closing statements where emotions are the strongest and people have the least chance to ask questions about it.

Matt was wrong for the lie but he's got smarts and when it came down to it, he trusted the wrong people. He would be a pick of mine for Big Brother All Stars 2 because he's not bad at competitions and he could win

I will never understand why people thought Rachel was great. She wasn’t a bad person but couldn’t take any kind of criticism.

I honestly couldn’t be mad at Matt because years prior to this Johnny Fairplay convinced his cast mates on Survivor that his grandma died. For anyone to go on a reality tv show and assume everyone is telling you the truth especially in a game like Big Brother where people lie about ages, jobs, who they’re related to (Frankie Grande for example). These are HUGE parts about people and their personalities. I’m sure he feels terrible about how Kathy felt about it, especially since she survived cancer, but y’all can not expect everyone to be an angel.

its funny how back then they considered it bad for matt to lie like that when to me in this day and age, i find it good gameplay by him, he's in for half a mill dollars ofcourse ill play games with these people. however, i do understand the opposing side and how disgusting that lie is.

Rachel is a houseguest I disliked throughout the entire process, Rachel thought she was so smart and this great player just for winning competitions; but she never made the right decisions with her nominations. She claimed her moves were not personal but they clearly were, Rachel frequently talked about how catty all the girls were being in the house... meanwhile she was the person stirring the pot from the beginning. Her nominations basically served the bragade the game on a silver platter. Monet being evicted allowed Lane to control Britney's decision making more than he already did and evicting Kristen just took out the first person who had suspicions about the bragade, allowing them to coast until Ragan caught on, and of course at that point with the numbers on the other side of the house his odds of winning were slim. People only ever remember her for winning season 13 of big brother, which is comical in my opinion. Watching her get beaten to a pulp in big brother 12 by guys who she claims are not smart or are floaters was my favorite part of the season. I'm sure she returned to season 13 in order to restore her credibility as a game player, and it was not even an all star season. I could go on and on about all the reasons Rachel's gameplay was absolutely awful but this comment would be a lot longer than it already is
