The Big Boys could not reach 80. They were built for hauling heavy freight trains over the mountains, not racing through the plains. 80 miles per hour in a big boy would wreck it

@@BMMEC6000 well test speeds indicate that it could reach 70-80 miles per hour, but generally in service, they were limited to a top speed of 55 miles per hour, and often went 25 miles per hour. As 25 MPH is when the big boy was at its max efficiency.

I sure hope that horse is "bomb proof". I don't even know how you can desensitize a horse to the level for it to get accustomed to the whistle of the 4014. LOL. It sure did make a hell of a video though. Now if they can only find a airwolf to chase after the train.
