I bet it helps that Big Bob's restaurant is right next to a gay bar. Not all guys can be so lucky as to have that kind of a positive influence.

I love how much Bob's father when he was younger and him look alike

I like how they so causally bring up now and then that Bob lost his mom at a young age, it emotionally scarred both him and his father, and they have difficulty even decades later talking about it. It's genuinely a treat when they have these moments. So well deserved, so sad, so beautiful. ❤

I actually love how the show is able to develop Bob and his dad's relationship. Like, Big Bob has his faults but he does care about Bob in his own way and acknowledges that he could've handled things better when he was younger. It does kinda feel special that Bob and Linda didn't have the best relationships with their parents, but they go out of their ways to make sure their kids feel loved and valued

What’s wrong with that? There’s no rush. If anything, it just shows they cared about each other enough to make absolutely sure they were both ready and in the right place in life.
