I want one. That’s the size they use to make something my Mum called a Bed Spread. I don’t know who decides the size of blankets and sheets, but for me,they always seem to be a few inches too short or not wide enough. I’m a big guy.6’2&1/2” tall over 200 lbs. I hope it comes in different colors?! Form what guy described,I don’t think it’s over priced. $200+ maybe. $150 at today’s prices, quality and sizes,I’m sold. Where do I send your Royalties check? With the washer - with big items, you need to pull them out, then readjust them and put them back in. When you left it in, the spin cycle was only pulling from a few angles, so you basically needed to readjust the surface area. Same with the dryer, pull it out, readjust, and put it back in and run the cycle again. It's still going to take 2 or 3 tries and often I just get the item (usually comforters or big coats) mostly dry and let it hang to finish.

I love my first Big Blanket so much I got 3 more, 1 to use as my bed sheet (none of the bed sheets I've purchased in the last 7 years would stay put and always came undone) , 1 to use as a normal blanket, 1 as a gift for my parents (so they can share with when the grandchildren drop by) and finally 1 for my Brother's family. I've used it for both winter and summer. Summer it is great it doesn't really get hot unless the ambient temperature is toasty. Winter can be a bit difficult but if you are solo using this blanket you can fold it in half to give it more warmth.
I laughed so hard when you brought out the stuffed bear. Thank you for the review. Too expensive for me.
Love all your videos. Keep giving us that great content.
Hey man, you should consider a front load washer next. They spin much faster (approx 1000 rpm) and have a larger diameter drum. Both of which help apply much more centrifugal force removing more water. They also reduce wear and tear on clothes without having the auger in the middle pulling and stretching fabric.

7531monkey As far as I know all front load washers are direct drive. So as long as the balance rings can stabilize the load, it would be fine. Of course there are sensors to shut it down and restart if too far out of balance.
@A1Zealot
4 жыл бұрын
Egbert Thomas yea I wasn’t going to look it up, but I’m pretty sure front loaders still spin the fastest. The top load HE washers are more susceptible to out of balance loading and jumping around. The front load washers have more mass and are more stable.
Great review. Loved how you added washing

I seem like I’d save a lot of money just buying a king sized comforter... still, GREAT REVIEW! Love you’re videos.
Great review as always and entertaining. I have no idea what I would do with such a large blanket. it's possible that in your washing machine because the thing was so large and heavy that it was not going into its full spin speed especially if it was slightly off-balance. I've had that happen occasionally in my own washing machine with a comforter. Repositioning the comforter inside of the drum and spinning it again I got much better results. It's also possible if your washer is older.. That the spin speed may not be that high. this often is no issue at all if you have lighter clothing but on heavy things like this is where you will see it doesn't spin fast enough or long enough to get the water out.
I love this blanket. The material is soft, weighty, and actually surprisingly stretchy! Perfect for wrapping myself up on the couch while I watch TV or a movie.
I could watch Bailey playing for an entire video. I love your family! This blanket is nice but my husband would still find a way to take the entire thing at night. 😬

Hey man I know this is random. But about a couple of months ago I got extremely sick with a illness that affect my nerves and I also have a lung disease called RAD/Reactive Airway Disease. They still haven't figured out what the never pain came from. But I absolutely love to teach kids violin. Poor kids in fact who cannot afford private lessons. So I teach them for free. But this nerve pain has made it to break my dream forever. So when I watch your videos with your kids and you. I know you absolutely love what you do. As do I. You really inspire me to keep fighting James. I never give up on my dreams because I know you don't give up on this channel. I am watching your videos today because I can't get up and walk today the nerve pain is so bad. So I just really wanted to take the time and thank you for inspiring me to keep fighting. Thank you for being that inspiration to me. 🙂

this was very helpful when it came to the washing. i wonder if a sticky roller would pick up the dog hair. i have a dehumidifier that i used to dry my clothes with but i dont have the quarters to spin this blanket until its finally not dripping water
6:52 ... I installed a heavy-duty hook in the wood joist above my utility sink (next to washer/dryer). In situations like this, I can hang things up with a bungee cord to let them drip-dry for a while before putting them in the dryer (if needed).
Great Review 👊🏾. I can't deny it will be kinda odd to wash and dry man that it's a lot of work. Other then that good quality blanket. Keep up the work i can't not wait for your next Review I saw on IG 😂 that it's all I had to said Lol. Funk Up Salute Peace 👊🏾
You’re hilarious! I turned away for a sec and lo and behold a huge bear appeared! Laughed at your dog trying to get in on the action, too. Finally, don’t think I can handle that huge, hot blanket as I’m short and tend to run hot all the time. Great review though.

Washing big blankets there is an issue spinning out the water properly if the blanket isn’t evenly dispersed around the center! The problem would go down a lot if when put in the blanket in wrap it around the center base! That trick works like a charm on huge blankets!
The best comforter I've ever bought was a $40 down alternative king size comforter from Amazon. I actually have 2 and they've held up for years, washed and dried normally with no problems. As he demonstrated, It's fairly close to the BIG BLANKET in size. So while I think it's a neat product (and seems to be pretty well made) I just can't see it being worth an additional $110.

Epic blanket fort blanket!! Forget trying to use every blanket in the house and trying to hold them together with clothesline, all you need is this bad boy!!
I truly appreciate the content🙏 thank you🙂
If I may suggest, just judging from the small clip you showed with the washing machine trying to spin out the water, your machine was unbalanced and likely stopped early to protect itself from harm. A better test might be to properly balance the blanket in the machine before the spin cycle. BTW, I often hang blankets and other large items on a clothes line to get rid of excess water before putting them in a dryer. That saves considerable energy.
Why?? Wait, let’s make a winter hot tent out of it. OMG the big stuffed bear on the couch was really funny! Pure entertainment. Ok, you need a high efficiency front loading washer that spins everything almost dry. :)
I got one of the "deluxe plush" or whatever ones for 170 with free shipping on Black Friday, still waiting for it to show up

At 5:07 his foot placement makes the Bear look like he is having a really good time under that blanket. Lol
If you have a WetVac you could put the wet blanket in a big contractors trash bag and put the tip in and suck the water out enough for the dryer. Not a home washer friendly blanket. Probably less hassle just to have cleaned or use the huge washer at the Mat.
I have this blanket and I love it. My family and I did all the things you did in your video and they enjoyed it as well. As far as washing and drying, I went to a laundry mat and used the commercial machines and it turned out great. Finally I lucked up and only paid $99 for my blanket as a Christmas special on deals and steals(GMA)
Love the bear - maybe he could make another cameo or two? As far as cleaning, is take the thing to the laundromat at least for the washing. The larger load washers could probably handle it.

Putting it through a couple of spin cycles could be expensive, if you could even do that.
Bailey is such a cool dog. Lmao
I would consider buying it because we have a Cal King bed and it would be great. But we live in an apartment with a community laundry room where you can’t choose to do multiple spin cycles on the machines.
Totally not surprised about the multiple spin and dry cycles. If only it wasn't so expensive ($150 + P&P+import tax). Did check if similar blankets were available in my country but could only find sheets and bed covers of similar sizes :(
