Big Bend National Park First Timer's Guide | what to do + where to stay in Big Bend National Park

Ойын-сауық

Today I’m finally sharing with you our Big Bend Guide + my very first travel vlog!
Big Bend National Park is known as one of the least visited parks in the US National Parks system but I can assure you it does not disappoint! Known for its deep canyons, vast deserts, and dark skies, this park has something for everyone to enjoy.
In this Big Bend first-timer’s guide, we show you what to do inside the park, where to stay in Big Bend and Terlingua, and where to eat while visiting this amazing park!
I’m seriously so excited to finally be posting some travel content, most of you don’t know but it is my dream to travel full-time and share travel content! I have worked super hard on this Big Bend Travel Guide over the last few weeks. We had the best time visiting Big Bend for the first time and if you’re wanting to make your first visit to this spectacular park, make sure you watch this Big Bend’s First Timer’s Guide!!

The algorithm somehow recommended this video to me! Thanks for putting timestamps in this video, its super helpful! Haven't been to Big Bend yet but I've hiked Texas' other national park, Guadalupe Mountains. I'm not sure of your starting point, but no Buc-ee's stop? I always have to stock up on snacks & drinks there before hitting the road.

Hey I’m so glad it did! It’s definitely a must see in Texas! We started in Fort Worth and unfortunately there’s no bucee’s on the way going west!😩 we definitely brought tons of snacks and food for the trip though! Glad you enjoyed the video!!

Great video! One question. You mentioned you weren’t a big fan of the food at the Starlight. Just curious what you had? My wife and I go there every year and the food is always amazing….brisket queso, pork medallions , elk burger…always great.

Erin, We loved your choice of trails and sites! We will be there in early March (next week!) Question: Is your Subaru a 4 wheel drive? We have an Acura MDX SUV but it's front wheel drive. We want to go to Ernst Tineja but we're worried that the road is too treacherous.

Eek! So excited for you!! Yes! It’s all wheel drive, I would join the Facebook group Friends of Big Bend and ask what the road conditions are, the road was VERY rocky and you definitely need high clearance. You can also check in at a ranger station or visitor center and ask about the road conditions! Thank you for watching!

I love Big Bend. Hiked to the Window, went horseback riding, canoeing, etc. Took 9 hours to drive there from Houston. I would love to rent one of the domes with the clear ceiling or maybe it’s clear all around.

My only advice is when you are talking on your videos and trying to explain things, slow down and take Deep Breaths. At times its sounds like you are saying run off sentences and trying to hurry people along thru the video. Everything else was very good and informative and you did an excellent job
