Yea, she even lays the fish out for Spirit, as if on a platter. She's IS an awesome mom!!

I pause a perfectly good movie, I check my phone in the middle of the night and first thing in the morning checking for new videos of this family of three🤦‍♀️ Good grief💞

Shadow is a patient male. He puts up a lot from these two. Clearly they are in charge. Spirit is gonna make it. She is a Diva and spirit is the right name for her. She HAS Spirit! She's getting hers. Hopefully she'll learn to share in the future, but she will always be in charge in in any pairing. She likes to be in charge!

It's becoming increasingly clear that most of Jackie's traits was passed over to Spirit.

Jackie and Shadow when they see Spirit flying on approach...."Quick, we've been found out...hide the food before the kid gets here and throws "another" tantrum..."

Poor Spirit, three tries to get back to her nest. And I see that Jackie and Shadow had a bit of a disagreement over the fish - poor Shadow. I really enjoyed Spirit pulling on her mama's toe tho - she is so strong! lol

Shadow loves to use the back door 😂. Jackie is wise to it. That fish is in high demand. Miss Spirit makes her appearance.

Poor Shadow can't catch a break. He thought he was going to have a big fish dinner but Moma Jackie taking the aggressive stance . Her baby needs more food now that she's flying. The princess eats first.

Is funny , adorable, interesting, all they do incredible wow thanks so much web cam operators and all who put this camera. I learn a lot of the National bird of USA. 🙏🏼🥰

The ear-piercing tantrums get a little old - not to mention hard on the ears. And the toe biting just makes me cringe. I know it is ridiculous to expect a please and thank you, not nature's way, so I try to see the good in all of it. Thanks for helping us to better understand the process and just appreciate these beautiful creatures.

Is Spirit trying to figure out how to fly off with the fish?

Is that a beak injury?

Someone else in chat mentioned the toe biting could be related to Spirit trying to get at the fish (or checking for one). That makes sense to me. Anyone know if this is in fact the case?
