A year and 3 months ago and there the Queen stands all that time , in the sun, I'm 77 and I couldn't do that. She was 95. What a wonderful woman! We will all miss her.

She is still Canada's monarch and I remember starting off every class day with singing God Save the Queen. We stood at attention and put our hands over our hearts. I like that memory, which brings me back to a calmer, more sane world.

I remember being part of the honor guard for a royal visit many years ago. I was also lucky enough to meet Prince Charles and Princes Diana when they got married and still have the coin they gave us :).

Yes it's called pomp and ceremony. and it costs a fortune to have it. From the barracks in Knightsbridge, to the queens own company, it must cost a fortune. and they're all obsolete in defence, but good for shows and jobs for the boys who prance around in uniforms. I wonder how many surgeries we could have for pensioners on waiting lists.

It took a lot of work to put on a show like this. No one do it like the British.. It so important to have a good relationship with our allies. I have a lot of respect for the Queen. Her Majesty is the best. I can understand why Prince Harry' love and respect her so much.

Although it was before this clip started the Band and Grenadiers marched on to the Quadrangle to "National Emblem", then played "Shenandoah" as the President arrived and while he was inspecting the ranks the anthems for each of your armed forces was played. During his inspection of the ranks the anthems of the individual arms of the US Forces was played. Of course grenadiers can only march off parade to one march: "The British Grenadiers" A typically precise and classy demonstration of respect to a close allied leader. Well done the Army.

What beautiful moments. What a relief to see The Bidens with the Queen compared with you know who. The music, the gards of honour, such pageantry. Made me cry a bit and more than a bit in fact...Those two national anthems so well rendered. And I keep thinking how awful it will be when Queen Elizabeth dies. I hope it will not be for many years. I have loved her so much that I gave her name to my daughter except that as I am and I am a francophone from Quebec it is with an s rather than a z. I gave that name to her also thinking of Elizabeth the first. I thought that equipped with the name of those two glorious queens (in different ways of course) she should do well in life and she does. Really? I respect her as the UK's very long-serving and excellent Head of State, and she can afford to be well dressed. Nice. But to me it looks like she waddles around like a perfectly normal and nice dignified old lady, not distinguishable from other well-dressed and super-rich old upper-class English ladies, I think. Except the funny hat. And her main duty to "lead her great nation" as its Head of State is to act as though she's got no opinion about any issues affecting that State. A 94-year-old can do it! She's excellent at it. But she's just a human being like you, you know 😂
