That time when you could vote out X and vote in Y to change policies no longer exist. They are ALL US-linked to the hips now
The USA spends 3 times the Defense Budget just on interest on the National Debt yearly.

@larsnystrom6698
26 күн бұрын
I thought this was a little high, so I googled it. "The U.S. is on track to spend $870 billion on interest payments this year, more than the $822 billion the nation will spend on defense," The reason it isn't higher yet is that the current US debt was issued at very low interest rates. It will take a number of years before it really hits. It will surely double in a decade, if some kind of default doesn't happen before that, as it should.

The u.s. does not have the industrial capacity to increase industrial capacity. Most of the extra spending is spent on bidding up the prices of real estate and commodities. Our primary manufactured consumer product is a nigh infinite supply of beverage containers. Plastic, glass, and aluminum. Existing plants merely increase production. There is some increase in production of building materials for roofing, siding, plywood, and concrete. But there is little or no increase in automobile parts. We do not really make any appliances. Good day gents from sunny South Africa. So happy to catch your early update live😊
How is the global south suffering from over capacity when we are increasingly getting cheaper and cheaper goods from China.?

I don't mind cheaper Chinese cars, solar panels etc. I am already paying most of my income in mortgage, taxes, insurances and utilities, cheaper Chinese products are a welcome break from expensive everything else.

Excellent The Duran. As always.
Russia is not conducting a war of conquest, nor a war of attrition, but a war of impoverishment. Liberal democracies tend to run loose fiscal policy anyway, but predictable sanctions and war spending are causing the US empire to be impoverished, and thus unable to continue fighting and keeping large milittary forces or bases. Can't destroy them (MAD), so impoverish them. France and the UK can't project much military power because of budget constraints.

Capital gains profits have not been invested into the economy so they might as well be taxed heavily. No one acknowledges that the game is rigged in favor of Capital.
The zooming price of Russian energy has become the "elephant in the room" when the Western media discusses rising prices in Europe. Very obvious but ignored.
What do you call a strong economy? A strong economy implies: 1) A high rate of growth. This means increases in economic production; it will result in higher real wages, higher employment, and higher spending. 2) Low and stable inflation.

in the US manufacturing is like 6%. The strong base you are thinking about for a comeback were gone decades ago. Engineering departments do pharma drugs. See the inability to ramp up 155 mm shells despite unlimited funds and a guaranteed buyer.
Capitol gains in Canada are going from 50% to 66%, tax and spend regime. Generations down the line will be paying for the incompetence of this gov.
The US is somewhere approaching $35 trillion in debt, no country has ever eradicated debt at that level. The inflation you mention is the only way the debt can be repaid ie by trashing the currency.

It's interesting to note that the economies of all three countries have a surplus of money circulating throughout their respective industries, and yet, the way that each of them approached how to invest and utilize this surplus of cash is completely different, as well as the results that logically proceed from this difference. Truly fascinating!
Thayou Alexander & Alex excellent as always. Good Day 🇦🇺
Even the losses in Gazprom are due to growth. Gas sales are down for now due to loss of sales in Europe. Meanwhile the cost of building new gas pipelines to other countries is part of that loss. That is a good thing. It's the cost of expansion that is part of the loss. That cost will pay off in the future. Once the new gas pipelines are complete, income will return.

Average price of a house in US in 1971= 25 200 dollars. Average price of a house in US in 2024= $420,800. Google it if you don't trust my numbers. Compare that growth in price with growth of average income and you will cry. That is what you get when you let chosenites (you know who they are!) control your economy.

It's not just about administrations not knowing how to stimulate a productive economy in the US: The electorate won't vote for that kind of policy solution even if some minor party or independent presidential candidate came on the scene offering it.
