There is not enough data to support the claim that humans have been able to have that type of impact with how small an amount of time we have been on Earth. In reality, if you took the entirety of Earth's existence and condensed it into 24 hours, human beings have been here for about 5 seconds.

If the greens truly cared about getting off the carbon economy, they would be pushing full force for nuclear power plants. But the problem is, those actually work. They produce plenty of baseload, clean, domestic, reliable, cheap energy. Can't have that. By far the safest and cleanest energy source we've found to date. Nothing comes close.

The problem is they've been so brainwashed to believe nuclear = bad. They mean well, but a lot of renewable is rubbish. Wind power is not far off the same carbon emissions as gas. Solar is ok in certain places but it can't be the only part of an energy system. And whether you believe in human caused climate change, or the severity of the consequences,there will be a move to 'greener' resources soon. Things like coal just won't be economically viable soon.

Bernie Sanders has obviously no idea what a socialist country or economy is.If Denmark was/is one so would be 90% of all other European countries : since the end of WW II they all have economies basically based on Keynes.A full capitalist-based economy but with a social concience.That's why they were able to grow that fast in the years right after the war,in combination with the Marshall plan from the United States. A real socialist economy,which the countries behind the Iron Curtain had,basically means back to the stone ages : exporting cars from Russia or the GDR to Cuba in return for bananas,cane sugar and rum.An 'economy' based on barter. Therefore,they only managed to survive that long because of exporting their goods to the evil capitalist enemy.That brought in the much-needed hard currency.

The US, in the past 10 years, has almost lowered its emissions to the level we were emitting in 1975 whilst over the past 20 years China and India have DOUBLED theirs. And we need more climate spending why?!? I'm not saying we don't need more curtailing of greenhouse gasses in the States. I'm just saying timing is everything and the time is NOT now.

Spot on!The world has to put pressure on China & India now,they have to come to the table as well when it comes to creating a planet we can live on. America has put sanctions on many countries in the past;I for one am in favor to put massive sanctions on China and India till they change their ways

@@osets2117 Correct sir. China alone emits as much as the entire western developed world emits right now. And they have been closing older and smaller coal stations with much larger stations at the rate of 1-2 new stations each and every week scheduled between now and 2035. Yet developed western world has slowly been closing down stations and re-opening no new ones. 5 years ago 60 or so countries had coal fired power stations. Today it is 80+ and rising. As the west closes down coal the rest of the world is increasing at a faster rate than the west is reducing meaning emissions worldwide are rising. And Paris agreement guaranteed this will continue till at least 2030-2035. All the supporters of GW/CC etc refuse to acknowledge this.
