Two reasons. One, nobody is interested in the decision. It only re-affirmed what had already been the case for 250 years, despite all of the drama that people have tried to pile on it. That the President cannot be prosecuted for carrying out his duties as President. And two, this network knows what people are going to be voting on in November; the economy, the border, and national security.

So Joe, you are an interesting person. You are educated and thoughtful. Why do you not understand the psychology of what you share when you go into if anything happens again on national TV thinking? The majority of people in this world want to get up and not have a monster in control of their lives. This is an ongoing story that has continual loops. Yet "We the People of the United States" is and continues to be our historical anthopological challenge of what kind of people we are going to be. There was a terrific article in The Atlantic a few short years ago on the evolution of the president's "job" over the last 40-50 years. The writer described all the additional duties that have been piled on over time, that he suggested have made it become something that really requires two people to do it. Now, it *could* be suggested that many of those duties could be handed off to a vice-president. But the fact of the matter is that the public would not be placated if it was the VP that attended funerals of soldiers or diplomats killed overseas, or was the person who flew over floods and tornado sites in a helicopter, rather than the POTUS. They *expect* the POTUS to be that person, now, which is pretty much the thesis of that article. While in office, Trump never really did that job. True, he threw out paper towels in Puerto Rico, but that was pretty much it. He certainly didn't spend much time at all reading briefing notes. And given his choices of Secretaries, he didn't seem to know much about the agencies he was assigning leaders to. So my question is, given how much energy it takes to be the *contemporary* version of president, would folks see Pres. Biden as having the sort of energy and stamina to do the sort of president job that Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson did, and leave the "permanent campaign" stuff to others? I.E., simply govern and make wise thoughtful decisions about important matters.

I mean, a group or organization that is committed, unified, persistent, sharing common values, steadfast, unbending, motivated, proud, and passionate. Passionate in purpose and about each other. A group like that can be wrongheaded in its pursuits, but they will win. Win, not whine. They stand together. They trust each other. They dig and fight. They support each other even when, if not especially when, they’re wrong. That’s the opposite of a Democrat. I hate most of the ideas of the Republican party, but I love Republican grit and teamwork. They take losing ideas and impossibly flawed candidates and they win. And, we’re all going to experience four more years under their leadership - because we’re Democrats and we use our better ideas and Poindexter intelligence in a tragically uncoordinated and un-teamed manner. Adam Shiff said this: “President Biden should be wiping the floor with Trump, but he can’t. The only reason he can’t is because of his age.” I say this: Adam Shiff is a Democrat, as described above. His comment was fabulously bereft of self-examination and reflection. Wipe the floor? • Donald Trump wiped Shiff and the Democrats across the floor in two impeachment attempts. • Adam Shiff and company literally drew crayon pictures on primetime television about Trump’s high crimes and Trump still wiped the floor with them. • Adam Shiff got censored by the House for making comments about Trump. • Shiff lost in every interaction with Trump, including the treason and immunity claims, he even lost in the childish nickname game having been branded ‘Shifty Shiff.’ • Shiff is running for the Senate against a former baseball player with no political experience who supports Trump, yet Shiff is being out-matched in fund raising. Shiff should be wiping the floor with Garvey. The problem with Shiff’s comment is the selfsame problem with thinking a debate with Trump was a good idea. You think that making informed factual argument in greater magnitude than Trump will cause voters to choose you. That’s idiocy. That thinking is illogical when facts are malleable things. It’s especially illogical when Trump’s support is fueled by emotion simmering in the caldron of the Color Line. It also bespeaks of entrapment in two-dimensional thinking while in a three-dimensional conflict. Read: Did you really think that Trump would not simply lie his ssa off? And if you did, did you actually think through whether the discovery of a Trump lie in a debate would cause voters to gasp and rethink whether to support him? Even after the previous 36,000 lies? It’s ironic. People like Shiff are backstabbing President Biden by asking him to leave the campaign, and by asking him to leave they fuel the narrative that Biden shouldn’t be voted for. Biden won’t leave the campaign. With their backstabbing, they’re helping to elect a man who won’t leave office.

This shouldn't be terribly hard to comprehend. LOL AOC is one of the more popular voices speaking for the progressive wing of the Democratic party. That's a demo that Biden doesn't connect with that well on his own. It doesn't matter what right-wingers think of AOC as that isn't a voting block that Biden can rely on, though I'm sure he will pickup votes there with Trump leading the Republican ticket.

In my view, the reality is this: before the debate, it was Biden's policies and tenure against Trump's legal battles and challenges. Even then, Biden was struggling but had some points in his favor. However, post-debate, the spotlight shifted solely to Biden's cognitive abilities (often euphemized as 'age'). Sadly, Biden has no compelling rebuttal on that front. There is no way for Biden to spin it and consequently, Trump is poised to surge ahead, leaving Biden powerless to catch up. If Biden stays, he will lose.

What we saw at the debate was not “a cold” nor “a bad night”, as many liberals described it. To the contrary, it was his best foot forward. They finally saw a realistic picture of the guy they voted for, without the liberal media's filters, gaslighting and censorship.
