When Biden barely squeaked by Trump in 2020, winning by a handful of votes in a few swing states, Democrats should have said "let's NEVER do THAT again!" Instead, they're right back in the same place 4 years later with a visibly diminished candidate telling their supporters fairy tales about how strong Biden is. having a President in his condition is *also* a threat to democracy when its a handful of family and close advisors pulling all the strings. Some would argue that settling for a handicapped candidate IS bed wetting... growing a spine might entail choosing a candidate that can actually fight Trump instead of being bullied by him. I don't know the answer but I do know it's obvious that there is little confidence in Biden at this point and it's not just the debate but also the incoherent way in which they have reacted to the poor performance. Why is Joe in hiding? Why is he not out there on a bus talking to the people reassuring them that he's competent? Quite frankly I don't think many people understand how dire this situation is. When the highest court in the land turns against its own citizens, in the name of autocracy, you are on the brink of revolution/civil war. At that point America's foreign adversaries will jump in the fight and it will be worse than anyone living today can imagine. The current administration must take immediate action, while they still have the upper hand, to resolve the crisis we face. If they fail we will ALL suffer the consequences.

While a 90-minute debate may not matter to some people, remember that six states will decide the election result, especially independent voters. Optics matters and the debate did not show Biden in a positive light. He couldn’t some questions coherently and looked fatigued. We cannot risk the GOP adding more SCOTUS seats.
