@golfbulldog interesting question. I'd say that all religions have designated behavior baked into it. I think the conundrum is that politics is also a set of morals enacted on the populace as a whole but enacted through the government rather than God. Definitely activates the almonds, though.

Some of my friends at the time( we fell out) questioned why I was listening to him but honestly I owe a lot to Sargon in helping me think more critically and not just go with the flow. The UK doesn't have a gun culture like the US because it lacks a 2nd amendment. Many people are unaware or refuse to acknowledge that law shapes culture as much as culture shapes law. It is undeniable that something being made illegal and punished severely will cause that something to become taboo. Meanwhile, something being legal and encouraged, whether through the necessity of survival or even simply because people want to sell that something, will build a culture around that something.

I'm glad to hear you say that. Our island is the size of Florida. To divide it, which would leave Scotlajd with a maximum of 4% of UK wealth, dropping them to just below Romania in terms of living standards is INSANE. And for what reason? Because London attracts all the attention? Well yeah that's how all of England feels too. I mean at least Scotland has its own laws its own government(even it continously screws things up and drops education and health lower and lower by the year). England doesn't. England has Scottish, Welsh , Irish leaders and MPs. End of the day if we aren't on the same side in 2024... 20 24... we never will be. The only people who side with the SNP are scroungers , authoritarians, commies, racists/xenophobes and crybabies. Proper Scotsmen are some of the greatest Brits ever. Some of the greatest people ever. English people NEVER gripe about Scotland getting more money per person than English people. But its a daily thing in Scottish Independence circles on X. It's time. Time to come together and make a stand.

Carl is the OG. His cultural awareness and discussions brought me to Tim. The good old days before the culture war rose to the top of most Western governments. That said, Europe is going to a dark place. There are only two historical outcomes; the culture of those who have represented their nation for 1500+ years are eradicated, or they eradicate those they view as invaders. This is the historical normality of humanity, and European history is filled with these cultural conflicts that consumed nations.

California in the 1980s used to teach California history. I learned about the 1849 Gold Rush, John Sutter, admission to the Union, the Missions, etc. Learned a lot in 2nd grade, then again in 4th grade. We took field trips to the Capitol and learned about the political process. That was back when children learned to read, write, and perform basic mathematics.
