Bichitra means Offbeat in english and surely this place is different and unique. Bichitrapur is an unexplored mangrove forest at Balasore district of Orissa, India. Bichitrapur situated at the confluence of river Subarnarekha and the Bay of Bengal. Bichitrapur is spread over an area of 563.00 Ha. And it is famous for the Marine ecosystem having a unique assemblage of floral and faunal resources. Though it’s not as big as the other mangrove forest but it offers beautiful speed boat rides in river waters, where, especially in the winter, you can witness migratory birds, red crabs, horse shoe crabs.
