Highlight of Ally Pally for me! Cracking ❤

One of the very few bicep tracks that i didnt fall in love with on the first listen. The beginning is particularly off putting, it sounds very unrefined compared to the previous works and to the rest of the track as well. It feels like it started out to make something entirely different but then had to apply the classic bicep sounds and structures onto the track. By the end it turns back to be an undeniably bicep sound, but there is a diconnect between the two parts By the time ive written this, the track played 3 times, and its most definitely not a bad song so yeah, most likely the prolem is my device :)

Inclined to agree - although clearly the Chroma project is supposed to be more breaks/jungled influenced rather than their purely atmospheric songs. We'll have to see what the rest of the project brings. Completely agree though that until the second half of the song, I was unconvinced. But am currently already replaying it as you have!

Think about how much their sound has changed since the days of the Vision of Love EP and those early works. Gotta appreciate their evolution and how they push the boundaries. I don't really think this sounds unrefined at all either. Would sound huge on a big system no doubt.

I feel like this track is just written with live shows in mind. It's more ravey and less emotional than a lot of their tracks. I like it, but it's definitely not "replay it for days on end" material. EDIT: The break is fuckin nasty tho!
