Bible Basics: Getting Through the Bible in One Hour with Dr. John Bergsma

The Bible is so long, it's easy to lose sight of the forest, because you're lost in the trees. Join Dr. John Bergsma, associate professor of theology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville and a senior fellow at the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology, as he shares perspectives, techniques, and light-hearted sketches that make it easy to learn, remember, and teach the "big picture" of the Bible storyline in one hour.
Based on his new book, Bible Basics for Catholics, Dr. Bergsma's visual approach can be adapted for a variety of settings in the parish or school, for catechesis, evangelism, or faith formation and help you learn how to explain the bible in one hour with this video.

I've seen thousands of videos. This is the ONLY VIDEO I've seen that summarizes the COMPLETE DEFINITION, HISTORY, and MEANING of Christianity. Christianity is NOT about finding your own 'personal relationship with Jesus' although it sounds nice and logical. It's not a philosophy or about studying the Bible. Christianity REALLY IS about baptism first and foremost, then the eucharist and the other sacraments. Generally these sacraments are ONLY VALID inside the 'Roman' Catholic Church - not a traditional protestant Church. where only one sacrament like Baptism may be lawful. If you live in America and were NOT baptized in a 'traditional' Protestant Church (like Anglican), there is a GOOD CHANCE even your Baptism was invalid because their understanding of Christ is too far removed from the True Christ. With baptism, a metaphysical transaction takes place in the unseen realm that is very real. If your 'Pastor' was not under God's dominion and worshipped the false Christ, his ability to summon the True God may by hindered. This false baptism is a recent American phenomena not historic to the Church until mormonism. If you weren't baptized I promise you will NOT be able to see the Truth of Christ and especially Mary. You wont be able to accept Christ in Truth and Spirit as he is on earth because you don't know the Spirit. And yes Christ is on earth (his body the Catholic Church and literal body the Eucharist). You will be bound to follow the false light as you attempt to save yourself through your own cognitive philosophical 'enlightenment' (a work) rather than stopping works and simply submitting to Christ's ordained priests and sacraments and cooperating with allowing them to save your soul. There's a list online that gives the denominations with invalid baptisms like Pentecostal, Mormon, SDA, Jehovah Whiteness, Salvation Army etc. It's very important you come into the Church with a proper baptism or you may never 'get the point'.. Those entering the Church without baptism and are trusting in the Church to save them are the SMARTEST PEOP,E ON EARTH. JUST HANG IN THERE.

It annoys me no end to hear people say,"I'm not religious, i'm spiritual". A guy on you tube, only yesterday said, "Enjoy your religion, while walking the wide road to destruction". I could only respond with truth," James 1:26- "If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless". Do YOU honestly believe that your mean & nasty unmerciful comments, to a another human being will outweigh the words and actions of a person who loves God & all Gods children.Who tries his best to always do good, but failing at times-But doing everything as a result of his love for God, Dont you know LOVE OVERCOMES ALL. THEREFORE, MY CHRISTIAN FAITH DOESNT ALLOW ME TO ME TO BE MEAN & NASTY TO YOU. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF YOU B4 I SAW YOUR MEAN, UNCHARITABLE COMMENT, AND I COULD HAVE USED OVER 300 VERSES ON THE DANGERS TO THE SOUL THAT COME FROM THE TONGUE TO SHOW WERE YOU HAVE STEERED AWAY FROM TRUE CHRISTIANITY AS A PERSON, BUT JAMES 1:26 POPPED TO MIND TO SHOW YOU THAT RELIGION IS A GOOD & HOLY THING AND EVERY PERSON BY MEANS OF WHATS NATURALLY BUILT INTO US, TO SEEK AFTER GOD, IS PRACTICING RELIGION.. RELIGION IS OUR SEARCH FOR GOD, EVEN WHEN WE DONT KNOW IT. THE "HOLE WE ALL HAVE", IS TRUE AND WE WILL BOTH SAY WE HAVE FILLED THAT BY FINDING GOD.SO IF YOU SOUGHT GOD, YOU PRACTICED RELIGION.IF YOU WORSHIP GOD, YOU PRACTICE RELIGION. --Aquinas says that religion is a virtue which is characterized by giving due honor to God. Because religion is about “giving what is due,” Aquinas includes it as a virtue of justice, which is defined as the habit “whereby a man renders to others what is due to them by a constant and perpetual will.”--So Aquinas, by listing religion as a moral virtue, is saying that religion is a natural, human virtue, not something supernatural. He says, “the good to which religion is directed is to give due honor to God. Honor is due to someone under the aspect of excellence: and to God a singular excellence is competent, since He infinitely surpasses all things and exceeds them in every way. Wherefore to Him is special honor due: even as in human affairs we see that different honor is due to different personal excellence, one kind of honor to a father, another to the king.” (I-II, Q. 81, art. 4). Good and virtuous religion, whereby God is praised and adore as the supreme principle of all being, and the giver or all good things is not a burdensome act, according to Aquinas, but one which humans are meant to enjoy. So religion and other good acts are related in Aquinas’ systems because religion itself is a virtue. And virtues dispose their owner towards more and more good acts. It's not about the warm fuzzy feeling we get from having emotional music playing, but been reverent & offering ourselves as a living sacravise united to the Eucharistic offering prophecied in Mal 1:11. Satan can cause us to have warm fuzzy feelings, but we must not depend on emotions, TRUTH must be first. So don’t sleep in on Sunday mornings, but look at going to church and worshiping God as just another part of enjoying life, and more importantly, as part of becoming a better person. And above all, remember that in the end, the worship you give isn’t about you and what you are getting out of it, but about what you owe God.

This assertion is foolish and at best, is misleading. Why does one want to spend just an hour, in reading God's Written Word to us humans? Scripture is God's user manual as to how to learn of Him, His Son, and His Spirit, and their collective plan for the Redemption and Salvation of the human race. Why was this video and the false assumptions and its agenda ever composed?
