The truth is that the monkey was already born and people had them, so bibi was going to be someone's pet no matter what. When monkeys are abused they show clear signs. Floating limb syndrome, where their legs and arms pop up in the air and they attack them uncontrollably, bibi did not have that. Itching excessively- monkeys itch excessively- when they are being abused or under emotional stress. Bibi doesn't do that either. Bibi doesn't even suck his thumb, sync that is the number one indicator of stress and maltreatment. He hardly ever shows his teeth or fear grimaces. He is confident when he approaches his owner and there is no reflexive fear or caution. Not all of them are abused even though that's what YOU would like to say . It's not true. You can cry about how they would be better off with their mothers but monkeys that are in captivity and treated well actually live much longer than ones in the wild. Because they are healthier and safer. That doesn't mean they belong with people. But the ones that end up being pets are not all abused.
