I'm not a tea or coffee lover but I drink it on my way to work none the less to wake up. My brother in-law brought back some coffee beans from Greece and gave me some to try out. So I did but used my pod coffee maker and it was actually really enjoyable. My brother in-law only makes his coffee with one of these and a different bigger version. He says is far superior to everything and bought one for me. He's very serious about his love for coffee lol. So i opened it and there were no instructions...so that's the long detailed version of why I'm here. 😴 🤣. Thx for the 55 seconds lol

I own a Bialetti moka pot for some time now and I can honestly say that it makes one of the best if not THE best espresso I ever tasted!! This moka pot just works miracles!! I even sold my espresso machine and kept just my Bialetti! This one and the Tuttocrema are a match made in coffee heaven😁. Grazie, Bialetti, sei perfetto🥳!

This is a good video, but I think beginners need more details. The best in-depth tutorials I've found on KZread are "Annalisa J Moka pot" and "Il Barista Italiano Moka." They teach the traditional Italian technique per Bialetti instructions. Other Bialetti instructions say to use a low gas flame or medium electric stove, so I'm surprised you say medium gas flame in this video. Bialetti replied to my email that "the official correct grind for the Moka pot is medium-fine." We love Bialetti Perfetto Moka Espresso!

@@ENZ2103 What scares beginners away are tutorials by the Specialty Coffee influencers, who overcomplicate the process and teach wrong techniques that contradict Bialetti's simple science-based instructions. Beginners are often confused by the simple instructions that come with their Moka because they have questions, so it's good if they have a more detailed explanation that also sticks to Bialetti's simple instructions. illy Moka coffee@home, Il Barista Italiano Detailed Moka, Italian with Bri Moka, and Annalisa J Moka pot are tutorials that many beginners praised for helping them quickly master their Moka. Annalisa is the only video that fails to explain the importance of removing the Moka from the stove the instant it begins to gurgle, but the rest of her info has fixed a lot of mistakes.

I emailed Bialetti and they told me that the official correct grind is medium-fine. Espressos are too fine, unless it's an espresso sold in Italian grocery stores. Those are ground to work in the moka pot because every Italian household has one. The popular brands are illy, Lavazza, and Kimbo.

  • @photina78

@@sO_RoNerY Italian culture considers moka pot coffee to be "home espresso" because it was marketed in 1933 as a way to make espresso at home so you don't have to go to the bar. Even though the moka pot uses only 2 bars of pressure instead of 9 bars, the moka coffee is concentrated enough to use in espresso-based drink recipes. I can't tell the difference in milky drinks.

1, read the instructions. 2, get the funnel and de-burr the badly cut aluminium tubing, before making the tube round again as it should be. Take off all sharp edges on the funnel, so it doesn't cut you. 3, polish the de-burred, re-rounded tubing. 4, empty out the shards of aluminium in the boiler and clean before use. I took the first one I bought, back to the shop, the replacement was not much better. EDIT - I corrected my.... bad editing.

I'm planning to buy the 2 cup Brikka next! 👏🏼 And I won a basic Hive Roaster on Instagram, so I'm going to buy the upgraded dome with the F° thermometer so I can monitor the temp of the coffee beans while I'm roasting. Then I'll need a Baratza Encore grinder. Once you get hooked on good coffee it never ends! 😂 But a Hive Roaster is beautiful Industrial Art too! If you want to roast your own beans, Sweet Maria's and The Captain's Coffee are great suppliers. After I get good at roasting with the Hive, I'll probably get an SR800 or a Behmor roaster.

    1. Pour in warm water so you don’t have to wait long. 2. Pour coffee flush into the tablet (sieve), do not tamp it down! remove the slide flat with a ruler or the butt of a knife. The grind can be either fine or medium. 3. Place on low heat. 4. As soon as the coffee starts flowing (I think the slower it goes, the better), count down 35-40 seconds (you need to take it off as soon as the lighter coffee starts flowing!), remove it and immediately lower the lower part into cold water!!!! Not under the tap, but in a bowl of cold water. Stir it all and you can pour it into different cups. And voila, you get the best coffee in the world!!!! There is not much of it, just add hot water and sugar.

and here is a list of the most wrong things you can do. There is no reason to put hot water, to wait less what? 1 minute? Coffee needs its time to extract correctly, if you want to take less time and are in a hurry you can always make an espresso with capsules, leave the moka alone. Then there is no need to put it on cold tap water as you wrote, the coffee doesn't come out better that way, just use a medium-low heat and turn off the heat as soon as you hear the sound of the coffee. And above all, use a good blend of coffee, that makes the real difference
