Bhundu Boys Documentary Part 1

the Bhundu Boys is a musical group from Zimbabwe who were prominent in the 80's. they opened for Madonna through the label of Warner Records. After years of touring and partying most of the band died of AIDS and succumbed to mental illness. Here i tried to get as much as could on this tragic story.

    Mxm..Rise has no shame talking about "I made sure the money comes to me". The man just couldn't accept that Biggie Tembo was the biggest star. Without him the band was just a karaoke version of themselves

    @@munyaradzimupondi2569 exactly..and noone was the biggest star. If Biggie was the biggest he would have done well as Solo like what others like Macheso, System Tazvida etc did. Undermining other band members is always recipe for disaster. I personally think he is one who led to the demise of himself due to pride.

    Thomas Mapfumo and the Blacks Unlimited toured UK in 1984 on what was called The Mabasa Tour ahead of the Bhundu Boys

    this documentary used expressive techniques to explore the story such as zoom in, fast cutting rate, track shots without undermining one"s interpretation of documentary film
